Okay, I just gotta know...am I the only one that spends over 12 hours on the forum?

Well thank you for sharing your words of wisdom....I am home alone all the time so I love to learn and share the things of God. And there are so many areas of faith that I have never ever heard of and I get very educated many times concerning scripture that I never noticed before.

I'm home alone most of the time, too.
If you enjoy being on the forum and it isn't interfering with something else in your life, I don't think there is a problem with it. I enjoy watching certain webcams too and for some people the chat is a big part of their social lives.

I spend far too much time on the internet and I've decided it isn't good for my life or my walk with God. Last Friday I set the hours from 8am-7pm to stay away. I did really well for a few days and actually got a lot of things accomplished around the house. The past couple of days were hard, however. Boredom got the best of me. Praying that today is a better day.

Yes I totally get that boredom thing....and what makes my situation even worse is that I am boycotting television because there is so much anger and violence.....boycotting Facebook....boycotting Twitter....lol....I have cut myself off from the world....so I come here. I am going to do a more drastic schedule of Tuesdays and Thursdays.....if I can....may have to unboycott something...lol.

Wow. This sounds a little bit like me. So, don't worry, Sis! You're not the only one who feels a bit compulsive when it comes to a need to talk to other Christians. I think a lot of us are finding ourselves in what are otherwise less than optimal social and/or working situations, and we feel disconnected from other people. At the same time, many of us also feel somewhat put out by all the garbage that the world offers us through its mainstream lines of communication and entertainment. It can all be kind of unsettling.

So, we're here on CF.............................................trying to find some balance.

Those spending so much time on here really should find something else to do, because one thing we should be doing as much as we can to help others. I hopped on here first thing this morning, but I volunteer time packaging and sending books to prisoners. I will be there when the library opens at 9:00, and I will be answering requests from prisoners until lunch.

If you're on here too much because you're bored, take up chess. There are some good sites where you can play either the computer or other chess players. Chess is a good way to burn an hour at a time.
