My Final Conclusion on these matters: Click here: Thank you everyone who participated in this forum thread! Click the quote below.
1 Timothy 2: 5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all—the testimony that was given at just the right time.
You are never going to please everyone.
People are all different in various ways.
All people are different understandings and not everyone will be on the same page together.
Except one way.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved to the kingdom of God -> Jesus Christ has already paid for your sins, died on the cross once for all people -> God rose Jesus Christ up again on the third day -> If you believe this in your heart you will be saved.
Saved ? From my Sins? -> That was paid for already.
Saved ? unto the Kingdom of God -> Yes.
Anyone who believes -> accepts faith through the Lord Jesus Christ are going to be saved, -> They are saved when they believe and they are given the holy spirit -> Jesus Christ baptizes in the holy spirit -> Jesus Christ and God will work on their heart and mind -> When they continue to seek God's will, spiritually understanding, and increased in the knowledge of God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
What hope is there in God? A lot of promises made.
Your choice to believe them or not is up to you:
The Promises that God provides freely are :
Relationship with God, and the Lord Jesus Christ;Faith comes by hearing the word of God.
Resurrection from the dead, Peace with God being justified by Faith,
You have the right to an inheritance in partaking and sharing in God's Kingdom now by faith which would make you a Child of God, or Son or Daughter of God if you walk by the spirit that is given,
You are promised that God will never leave you, or forsake you.
You are promised that you can have a prayerful relationship with God who loves and cares about everything going on in your life, and desires for you to cast your worries and burdens on Him,
You are promised freedom of the bondage of sin, and
the ability to overcome temptations when they are presented to you God will show you a way out,
You are promised a renewed mind and a renewed heart by God,
deliverance from darkness into light,
You are also forgiven of your sins: Past; present: future and have freedom of Christ in you but you are not to use that to Sin willfully but instead live by the spirit -> For when someone loves God they will turn their will towards Him rather than their own self-will to serve themselves (God can work on your heart through this)
You are promised if you live by the spirit to have kindness, joy, peace, love, gentleness, faithfulness.
There are all of the promises of God that can be named from just off the top of the holy spirit/spirit of Christ with-in me. You can freely look any of these up and hopefully you will find each of them.
What matters in this life is your Faith -> Love for God, and Love for Others.
My encouragement to you is to go and seek the Lord Jesus Christ, and also read what you are reading in Context, don't get lost in the wisdom of Man, and what they have to say. Go look for yourself, and test and see if what people are saying is true or not.
There are rewards God is going to give based on your faith and love towards God and towards Others. When you receive the spiritual body given by God after this life at your resurrection.
Enjoy your relationship with God, and understand you are called in to a inhertience to have right now on this earth through belief, your sins are forgiven evenmore so after the fact of knowing they have been paid for.
Though in understanding you are forgiven through your life of mistakes as you walk with God it is not a license to sin and not care about God -> because showing love for God is living by the spirit, and being loving towards Others.
Take care, God bless, and having a great rest of the evening!
Actually. Repentance comes after you believe. Sin is not exposed to the sinner who does not care until they believe. This is how it worked when I became born again. I did not see my sin until I was regenerated with the power of the Holy spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that leads us in all truth. We repent once we realize through the power of the Holy Spirit that we are unrighteous.
A lack of repentance would suggest one who continues to sin after coming to the knowledge of the truth.
The Lords appointing of Paul shows a change of heart for "receiving" the forgiveness of sins and a declaration of being sanctified by "faith" in Him.
to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.'
Those who hold to the testimony of Jesus and obey Gods commands will be saved.
Two asked something of Jesus when He was on the cross but only one received a reply. The one who believed in Him.
(I'm sure this point has already been made...However as I'm late to the party, I'm not reading through every response which is up to 6 pages haha)
Repented or not, yes, God forgave us our sins. However, Hebrews 10:26-27 makes it completely clear that anyone who willfully chooses to live a life of sin, there is no sacrifice for them, only judgement because they threw the sacrifice Jesus made in his face.
Let's say I get shot and cuss because of the pain. I die from my wounds without asking forgiveness for cussing...God is still just to forgive, He knows my heart.
Let's say I choose to live a life of crime, I commit murder, I steal with no remorse, but I read my Bible and believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins so I can do what I want with no consequences...that is willfully sinning...I may know God exists and His Son died for my sins but I do not actually believe, if I did I would be bearing the fruit of that belief.
They are different.
Universal reconciliation can be found in the Bible. Look up this scripture God reconciled the world unto himself, also the two scriptures provided here. You will see the reconciliation of God.
This has to simply do with sins of the world being paid for.
God is no longer angry or mad at the world today in my view. Jesus Christ was enough to pay for the sins for all people everywhere at one time on the cross, and reconciled the world.
Doesn’t it also say in John 3 that that world might be saved through Jesus Christ.
(No faith is needed to have your sins covered they have been covered since birth before you ever knew Christ Jesus)
Now Universal Salvation says there is no faith needed to get to heaven Jesus Christ paid for it all and that is it. — This is not true.
Faith is needed in God and the Lord Jesus Christ to even become a child, son or daughter of God.
So universal salvation is false.
People repent they change their mind. Many people change their minds about many things in life over time. Repentance does happen to while being a Christian.
Not saying that repentance doesn’t happen.
A change of mind comes by choice, and many people have to make a choice between listening to God by and through listening and hearing and learning about God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
The point am suggesting is whether or not you have done this yet, if you read the entire first post is; all of sins have been forgiven already before you were born.
God desires a relationship with you now today, and has forgiven all of your sins already. So you have been saved from them.
If you make the choice to turn towards God because he has done this for you, and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ they are ready and willing to have a relationship with you now today.
All have been saved from their sins.
All have not been saved unto the kingdom of God, unless you change your mind about learning about Jesus Christ and having a relationship with God and the Lord.
Cognate: 3341 metánoia – literally, "a change of mind" ("after-thought"); repentance. See 3340/metanoeō ("repent").
Its... Not forgave all sins... He bore the penalty for all sins. Bore for all. Not forgave all. He took away the penalty for sin. They will still need to be forgiven for something else!
The penalty Jesus paid for was?
About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" (which means "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?")." Mat 27:46The very worst person going to Hell will not be judged for his/her sins.
If Jesus did not die (spiritually forsaken) on the Cross for all mankind? God would have forsaken all of us, and He would have never been able to offer the opportunity to believe.
Because of the Cross? No unbelievers' sins will be mentioned at their final judgment.
Jesus took upon himself the penalty for our sins. Therefore.. There can be no penalty/judgement for our sins! Unbelievers will instead be judged according to their works. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God,
and books were opened. And another book was opened,
which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged
according to their works, by the things which were written
in the books." Rev 20:12
After searching the book, the absence of the one single work will condemn the unbeliever. That work absent will be?
Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”No sins will be mentioned at the final judgment of the unbeliever. All penalty fell upon Jesus as he bore our sins, and for the sins of the whole world.
Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one
he has sent.” Jn 6:28-29
The unbeliever will be condemned because they never believed in Jesus, not their sins. That one thing Jesus could not pay for. If He had paid the penalty for that one thing? He would have had to reject Himself. The absence of the work of believing in Jesus is what will condemn the unbeliever. His sins will not be mentioned.
in Christ....
I agree that everyone’s sins have been paid for but that doesn’t mean that everyone has been forgiven. Christ paid for our sins and He will decide who will be forgiven and who will not. In Colossians 1:22-23 Paul makes it clear that faith is required in order to receive Christ’s atonement.
“And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach— if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.”
Colossians 1:21-23 NASB1995
1 Timothy 2: 5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all—the testimony that was given at just the right time.
There is only one God.
There is only one mediator between God and Men.
the man Christ Jesus. -> Faith on the Lord Jesus Christ -> Access to God our Father.
Who gave Himself -> The Man Christ Jesus -> as a ransom for all.
The testimony that was given at the right time.
Christ Jesus the Man Son of God of Nazareth paid for all the sins of the world.
Ransom: 487 487 antílytron (from 473 /antí, "corresponding to, instead of/exchange" and 3083 /lýtron, "ransom-price") – properly, a full ransom, referring to Christ paying the complete purchase-price to secure our freedom (redemption) – i.e. Christ exchanging His eternal righteousness for our sin (cf. Ro 3:26; 2 Cor 5:21).
1 John 2: 2 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
The world -> 2889 kósmos (literally, "something ordered") – properly, an "ordered system" (like the universe, creation); the world. Usage: the world, universe; worldly affairs; the inhabitants of the world; adornment.
IF you have not repented and turned to God yet and turned to the Lord Jesus Christ or you have been on the fence of deciding or not.
Jesus Christ has paid for the entire world (Everyone's) sins already. You have been forgiven now today and all that there is to do is to believe and have faith, that He overcame, death, sin, Satan, and the grave.
Today you can have a relationship with God, today. Jesus Christ came, died, and resurrected and God loves you, now as you are -> And sent his son Jesus Christ to pay for the sins. - > who was resurrected from the dead by God.
It doesn't require faith to have your sins forgiven.
That work has already been done.
Universal reconciliation -> the payment of all sins for all people, is a sound biblical doctrine.
Universal salvation -> Is not true.
Everyone in this life has to make a choice to turn towards God, and make a choice accept the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ who came to save us to the kingdom of God that we can be spiritually reborn and live by the spirit and have a an relationship with God and through the Lord Jesus Christ.
The choice you make decides on if you are saved to the Kingdom of God or not.
Will you have faith on the Lord Jesus Christ, and Trust God and his promises?

Do you have any comments or suggestions on any of these things?
We do not use the forgiveness, for a license to sin however to grow in love towards God, and the Lord Jesus Christ for what they have done in this life for all people.
- Romans 6:1-4 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? 3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
