I don't believe in Santa Claus. Yet he still dresses in red and white, every year in the mall around Christmas time. My belief in something does not change the truths about him, would you disagree?

hahaha true that. I have had experiences which I believe were too weird to be a coincidence and seemed to be him trying to pull me back in when I was leaving christianity....11 years of silence and then suddenly BAM "Oh noes your leaving better send a message". I ended up getting pretty mad about it. I am of the strong opinion that if he really cared that much, he would come directly.

Thats why I like some of the other gods, they respond even if its a "do it yourself" kind of message.

Santa claus and a belief in a religious event coming are two entirely different things.

God sharing the gospel with me is quite different than you sharing the gospel with me. If god did it, I'd likely convert.

Well if God shared the gospel with you, how would He do that? There has to be an answer for that somewhere in scripture. It's the same as the Ark of the covenant, if that exists would you touch it, knowing that the last person in the bible that did so, died.

Well, Jesus kept talking about Love, Compassion and Service to others. I see that as the Gospel that Jesus taught. So it seems to me that the way God shares the Gospel of Love, Compassion and Service to others is when we actually do those things.

Actually, were it to actually exist as the Torah states, it would be best not to touch it at all. Even Israelites who touched it and were not authorized to do so died immediately. One who was carrying it accidentally did and dropped dead.

I would have lied and said I had more pressing things, such as bills for my phone or whatnot. If someone was trying to convert me, i'd tell them i'm an Agnostic Atheist and i'm not interested in what he had to say.
