Oh boy, I sure would not summarize that "whole passage" in this fashion. What are the beginning and ending verses you're considering as the "whole passage?"

The smallest viable context I can break this down to specifies "the people of God," and refers to "entering His rest," as the true function of the Sabbath from the beginning. Not at all easy stuff to digest!

(Following shortly is one of my favoritist parts of the King Jimmy: "all things [are] naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do." What wonderful prose!)

Yeah, the phrase you asked about seemed straightforward to me, w/o any need for a larger context. I could also add that this element by passes the standard claim of circular reasoning, but our interlocutors wouldn't understand that.

Also, 95% of the diet books that are sold in bookstores are complete BS, but they are also not found in the "myth section". Why? Because people don't think on their own or investigate most things with reason and logic.
