I have been thinkin bout noah and his ark and I dont rekon you could fit 2 of every animal in there.
I think that the job of cleaning out all these animals while on board is inpracticle and would not have worked out ?? I mean what would he av fed em all on? this task is not possible with so few people.
what do you guys think.???what about all the small animals, were insects included? little maggots and all sorts. It would not work.

The point of the story is that Noah's Ark is a prefigurement of The Holy Church through which all of creation is saved from the fall.

Noah is Christ, obeying the Father and saving all that can be saved.

I do not worry about the literal possibilities.

I've always reckoned that Noah would be smart enough to put the babies on the ark, not the already grown animals.

In 150 days they wouldn't be full grown yet.

I'm fascinated with Noah's ark I tell ya, FASCINATED. I just did a google on it yesterday as a matter of fact.

No, I'm saying, it doesn't matter to me if it is or not. The meaning of the story is deeper than "How many animals can you fit into a wooden structure?".

I believe that the story of Noah is real; Jesus believed that Noah was real and I'm pretty convinced that Jesus was right about EVERYTHING. Now as to how Noah did it, I'm not precisely sure, but the Bible says that at least one pair of each type was on the ark. So you wouldn't have a pair of cocker spaniels and a pair of foxes and a pair of wolves - you would have a pair of dogs. The breeding for breed came later. Does that help?

This prototype is 5 x's smaller than the real Noah's Ark.

However; Jesus referred to the last days being like Noah's time. He spoke of Noah's days quite literally.

I am sure an ark that darn big could have carried all the animals [not necessarily breeds] and bugs probably werent going to take up a whole lot of space either.

I also agree that the animals were babies who were weened. Easier to handle too.

I agree that it's literal.

However, he did take more than just two of each animal.

Genesis 7:2 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.

The clean and unclean animals are listed in Leviticus 11.

That's my way of looking at it. If I think too much about the plausibility of the Noah's Ark event then I start to have doubts, but we do have to remember that with God all things are possible. Scientifically it's not possible, but God of course is above science.

It is quite possible that the animals may have been in a hibernation state during their time on the ark. Scientists have been able to isolate the opiate HIT ( Hibernation Induction Trigger) and use it on non-hibernating species to induce the state of hibernation. This would easily circumvent the problems you see in the Ark scenerio.
