  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have been thinkin bout noah and his ark and I dont rekon you could fit 2 of every animal in there.
I think that the job of cleaning out all these animals while on board is inpracticle and would not have worked out ?? I mean what would he av fed em all on? this task is not possible with so few people.
what do you guys think.???what about all the small animals, were insects included? little maggots and all sorts. It would not work.
When I read this, I knew exactly what to say.

Matthew 19:26:
But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Lion of God, I'm lovin' the avatar!!

That was an excellent site, thank you!

I wonder if people that take the time to truly study these things out and give a scientific explanation (and scripture) realize they're being called "nutjobs" by some Christians?

Again, that's a great site, and thanks!

Thank you TrustAndObey. The Avatar was a leftover from my days on the Origins Forum. It is where I learned that being called a "nutjob" is about the lightest insult one will hear from TE's :D
It is also where I learned that the closer one strikes to the precariousness of their position the more insulting they become and the more entrenched their views. Human nature.

The site I linked is good but I will mention that they ascribe to the Gap Origins view which is my own view also. It is held by a minority of mainstream Christians and normally looked down upon by both TE's and YEC's even though it is the only view that doesn't require one to be a University grad to make it possible to harmonize the literalness of scripture with scientific facts (not necessarily scientific interpretations).

There might be ALOT of people today that take for granted the Word of God, and think it is made up of fairy-tales and stories.

Why can't fairy stories TELL THE TRUTH?

FICTION IS NOT A LIE.

Of course, to people with no imagination who've been told not to trust their imagination by people telling lies about the world (creation "scientists", in other words), then anything that isn't materialist/positivistic fact is somehow "a lie."

But I don't buy into fundamentalist materialistic notions of the truth. Truth is far deeper, far more profound than a bunch of facts.
