Are you aware of the fact that there are people who study the origins and evolution of language, and the "tower of Babel" myth doesn't comport?

Yes, and it is their "theory".

We have about as clear of a picture of the entire scientific evolution of languages as we do of mankind: incomplete. Basically, you will never disprove the Bible with science, nor will you ever prove God exists with it.

Nevertheless, it should be a no-brainer that Noah and those who survived the flood with him all spoke the same language. The fact that mankind had much longer lifespans during that time would not give much room for language morphology.

Being an atheist, you don't believe in God nor much of anything the Bible says, so why even bother with this thread?

Yes, it's a theory.

Ah, so we are going to let facts get in the way of a good story, now? ;)

Longer lifespans a fact? Forensic examination of bones can reveal the age of the approximate person when they died. There are absolutely no human bones 4500 years old or older that reveal long life spans longer than today. In fact, what is revealed is much much shorter lifespans quite significantly.

Approximately how many of these human bones do you have?

This thread stems from a conversation I just had with RickG.

I shall try to be as concise as I can with my questions, and all I ask in reply is for honest answers.

Question: In your opinion, are there some global flood believers out there who believe the earth was one giant landmass in Noah's time?

Just YES or NO please?[/Q
No you can follow it, you posted that in this thread.

Yes to your question but I don't think the flood was global.

Really? Short answer: I guess they need to do some adjustments on their examination of the evidence. Long answer: you have "absolutely" no idea if there are any 4500 year old bones or not AND "what is revealed" can be "exclusive."

Just YES or NO please?

You should know better than that. :)

In Noah's time? I doubt it, but a single land mass in the beginning not only fits well as we just look at the pieces but fits just fine with creation:

9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

There is nothing there to negate the real possibility of a little drag n drop of the continents after the dry land appeared.

As to the New Jersey question, guess I'm just not into that part. :)
