Really? Then why are there over 100 versions of the bible and more than 30,000 recognized denominations. I would say there is quite a bit of contradiction in what to believe, accept, and interpret, and never mind we haven't a clue of much of the original context of words and phrases, or the fact that protestants have thrown out a number of books of the original bible. Are you familiar with the 'creation science' claim of catastrophic plate tectonics post flood?

The quote I posted was from a science website that claims that the earth was one giant land mass---3oo million years ago----with the continents being formed over time----creationists, of course, state that happened after the flood. So it seems both are saying that the earth was one giant mass and then separated, it's just that one side says it took millions of years, the other, after the flood. The bible does say the waters were gathered together in one place at creation, indicating one land mass. It's just that for me, the only place I read about in the bible that it could have happened is during the flood when the "fountains of the great deep were broken up"--it makes more sense that it happened during the flood then after. That is a massive movement of land, tremendous force, earthquakes, and nothing in scripture says anything like that happened after the flood. it just says the land was divided, but seems to mean divided (the original Hebrew says split lengthwise) into groups of people according to their languages and it says
Gen_10:5 By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.
The isles are already in place when the people were separated. I understand most say it happened with the change in language, but, that doesn't add up or make sense to me according to scripture---whatever. It's not like it's a salvation issue!!

Nope. It just shows that they were there before the universe was created. It says nothing about angles being created. And lets not forget the "let us create". And where was God before the universe was created? Gen: 1:1 In the beginning God created the "heaven" and the "earth".

Of course it says let "us"--Father. Son and Holy Spirit were there, Jesus being the creative one

In the beginning simply means in the beginning of creation, at the start of creation. What do you mean where was God---This is only talking about the earth--this galaxy---it says nothing about the whole universe there---He has always been creating, it's a big universe out there with many galaxies, too many to count, God always was. God crested everything male and female, He commanded all nature to be fruitful and multiply--when Adam named the animals, there was no helpmate for him--the original says no "opposite"
I am confused---it says you're Presbyterian, but you talk as though you do not believe in the bible--what exactly is your view on the bible and, for that matter, God Himself--you seem either confused or an unbeliever.

I was just wondering if you were aware of the catastrophic plate tectonics theory claimed by the creation science community. For the continents to break up and move as far as they did after the flood, not only would all water on earth evaporate, the earth would become completely molten and still would be.

As for the flood, I subscribe to a regional flood, not global covering all the land.

When you understand how God can manipulate energy, then I'd say you're close to understanding how God can perform miracles.

You state clearly how man pollutes, including the Bible.

But did not reference the Author of the Bible, nor how we are to learn from Him.

The One who purifies and corrects you set aside. Why?

And how do you learn what He says?

Do you learn from Him, instruction from Above, or from the pollution man has produced?

Why does the Scripures say some are void of the Holy Spirit? What does those void of the Spirit produce? They produce pollution.

The foolish are not taught or led by the Holy Spirit. Of which pollution comes about.

If you follow Him you are receiving instruction and correction. Christianity is a relationship with Him.
