  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

God rested (ceased) from creating ex nihilo after the creation week, in which He raised the amount of mass/energy in the universe from zero to its current level over a period of six days.

Creating ex materia, such as for the widow of Zarephath and the governor at Cana, is another matter.

Are you suggesting that God can no longer create ex nihilo?

(Let me guess: Olive trees don't grow in Ararat?)

Did they grow there pre-flood?

So Noah disobeyed and didn't make the ark, or is the bible wrong when the bible states that Noah did make the ark?
Noah built the Ark.

Why should I think otherwise?

Noah built the Ark.

Why should I think otherwise?
Because you stated it was a TARDIS using New Jersey Pine, and that Noah couldn't build it using New Jersey pine

I'm suggesting God won't (not can't).

Even when He destroys the universe, He will recreate a new one from the same energy.

Beats me.

Probably.

Noah built the Ark, God made it into a TARDIS box.

Meaning its inside was larger than its outside.

Noah did his part, and God did the rest; including bringing the animals to and from the Ark.

Did God tell you this, or did you tell God this?

God said it, that settles it.

God said he won't create ex nihilo anymore?
God said He hasn't created ex nihilo since the creation week?

Anyone else want to try and convince I don't know what I'm talking about with this New Jersey stuff?

If not, I'll just move on.
Why do you need multiple people to tell you that it would have been impossible for New Jersey to be touching Europe in the time of Noah's human ancestors? Care to explain how you think the Atlantic Ocean could have come into existence in the last 10,000 years or so? That would be impossible, for the reasons we have listed.

Wrong.

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image,

The bible (God) said it, that settles it.
I see.

You're not monotheistic?

Or are you interpreting "we" as including the angels?

So if I write something down and tell you that God said it to me, you'll accept it as the gospel truth?
Do you have a beard, herd goats, and live in Palestine in Bible times? I think that might help your case.
