Why do you keep quoting my posts? With all due respect - where is it written in scripture to harass a fellow believer into engaging into pointless arguments? Jacob worked and waited for 14 years, both are true.

Also, what I meant was that if someone makes a vow and is not fully aware of what they're doing, God doesn't necessarily have to hold them accountable. He can chose to show mercy instead, and work with them based on that decision.

We can encourage our brother as time goes on. He's made his vow already so no need to warn of all pitfalls so soon after. There are many blessings too.

I'm not surprised he left. It was the wise thing. There he was having made a momentous decision and us lot wanted to know why instead of affirming him. I had the same need to know why too and the fact it's a vow.

Then realised it's a momentous time in someone's life when that door is closed. Sometimes for the better. I didn't make a vow but honestly told the Lord that I just wanted to do His will either way. I was released from any desire to be married in ten or twenty years if I live that long. For me it's different though. I've been married.

For a time, when they were obeying Yahuweh, they (Israelites) did not have to buy a house. Each family was appointed property (farm or house ? ) , and it was theirs 'forever'... Worked very well,
not like greedy people flipping houses in the usa... (and probably in Israel today too, but don't know)....
