Without friendship its impossible to built trust, and without trust there's no reason to take anybody's advice. Being a fruit-inspector is often seen as a hostile act, whether it is "biblical" or not. Without wisdom and sensitivity, it's not good advice to go around inspecting other peoples lives and identifying their sins.
