Actually, all you can say is, "IT IS CLAIMED that there is a side to reality we don't see..."
I don't subscribe to Satan's, 'Yea, hath God said' tactic.

I subscribe to God's, 'It is written' truth.

And the Ganesha Chaturthi is evidence for Ganesha, by the same logic, yes?
Yes.

Only I don't see Ganesha Chaturthi quite the same way you may think I should.

Why do scientists need to make excuses for a mistake they didn't make?
Then don't. They're ignorant as heck anyway.

It would be like telling an infant in a crib to apologize.
Bungle_Bear said:
Surely it's Christianity that needs to be apologizing?
For what?

Claiming Jesus was born in AD1?

Then later some ignit comes along and says, "Not so. He was actually born in 4BC", for God knows what reason?

Yes.

Why don't you view it as evidence for the existence of other gods the same way you see Christmas as evidence for Jesus?

Oh, right, you pick and choose what you want to accept as evidence.

Except that people could write that just as easily...
And they did ... just for the educated to use against God.

We call that: diabolical plagiarism.

The educated today soak it up like a sponge.

I do.

Only they aren't "gods".

They are fallen angels.

I have a set of Boolean standards I use.

A set of heuristics.

Would you like to see it?

No ... it's another thread about how the educated mess with Jesus' life.

Indeed -- shame on the church for getting the year wrong!

Right.

As long as scientists have a church to blame, they'll persecute us to the ends of the earth.

(Oops! Did I imply the earth was flat!?)

I know one foreign lady who accepted Christ early in life.

Later, she was captured and tortured for her beliefs.

She said her captors beat her constantly while demanding she tell them how God created the earth out of nothing.

Right.

As long as scientists have a church to blame, they'll persecute us to the ends of the earth.

Who set the original "AD 1" date? Scientists or the church?

As long as the church has a devil to blame, they'll never accept a lick of responsibility for their mistakes.

(Oops! Did I imply the earth was flat!?)

Wouldn't matter if you did -- the Pagan Greeks knew it wasn't -- it was Eratosthenes who even figured out its size some 200 years BCE.

(of course, you've probably heard the whole "Christopher Columbus 'proving' the Earth was round to a skeptical world" story, but then again, you're hardly the first person to confuse fact with fiction.)

I know one foreign lady who accepted Christ early in life.

Later, she was captured and tortured for her beliefs.

She said her captors beat her constantly while demanding she tell them how God created the earth out of nothing.

Martyrs impress only you, AV... perhaps some day you'll take a stand and become one?

I learn just enough, so I can separate the wheat from the chaff.

That's why I'm so ignit, I can't discuss the nuances of genetics -- or any other discipline.

Once I recognize it as chaff, it's history.

Don't get me wrong.

Sometimes I might wade out a little bit further in Satan's Pond, but not too deep.

Besides, it's too crowded out there.

Too many scientists.

Now you know why the book of Revelation describes the Antichrist coming out of the sea.

It's the sea of humanity.

I learn just enough, so I can separate the wheat from the chaff.

And yet you come up short so many times...

That's why I'm so ignit, I can't discuss the nuances of genetics -- or any other discipline.

Once I recognize it as chaff, it's history.

You know enough to know what to be afraid of. Got it.

Don't get me wrong.

You do that so well on your own, it would almost be redundant of me...

Sometimes I might wade out a little bit further in Satan's Pond, but not too deep.

Besides, it's too crowded out there.

Too many scientists.

Now you know why the book of Revelation describes the Antichrist coming out of the sea.

It's the sea of humanity.

Considering that the AntiChrist will be human, it wouldn't make sense for him to spring from the ground like a weed...

(of course, given the number of people who take Revelation literally, "sense" isn't a high priority)

Neither.

It was Jesus Christ who did.

And all He had to do was show up.

At least four years early -- I've heard of premature births, but that's ridiculous!

Oh, I just shiver in my shoes when science comes knocking.

Even though I'm supposed to ...

Leviticus 10:10 And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean;

... I'm too busy running away from it to actually embrace it.

After all, I might end up like a lot of other people did:

Romans 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
