Depends on the man. I knew several homosexual men and women when I lived in Seattle. Because I take people one at a time, I was friends of a sort with many of them and we talked about our childhoods. Well, those with whom I had this relationship with...
And every single one, to a man and women, had trauma happen in their family life at a very young age. Some were more severe than others, but there was most definitely a common thread.
However, I think this is true of a lot of folks that never became homosexual as well, just as not all of us turn to Christ, not all of us find our sexuality "flipped" over things that happen to us before we are old enough to interpret the events correctly. Some simply become afraid of sex, or become pedophiles, or hate the opposite sex, while not clinging to our own sex, etc. Homosexuality is just one outcome. But it is, by definition, a perversion of sex, for obvious reasons.
Ah, Modern Times! Yes. "Modern times" gave us eugenics, lobotomies and all sorts of other scary stuff. Medical science does progress, but from time to time it slides into temporary lunacy, as is the case today with "born homosexual". There is zero proof for it. The gene is still being sought.
And remember, "Modern Times" become's the future's past of a few crackpot theories that used to be believed. Like leech treatments.
