Or to re-phrase this as I put on my hat as lover of God...science has shown through the window of evolution that God created His Homo Sapiens creation through an evolutionary process.
And as I put on my helmet of salvation, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, I realize evolution can take a hike.

Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

The Bible is against anyone (not just Christians) professing themselves (not 'being') to be wise.
Humbleness is a sign of wisdom that the followers of most spiritual paths understand and take on as a spiritual truth.

True wisdom comes from God -- not science.
I'd agree that true wisdom comes from God. But the knowledge that human beings evolved has nothing to do with wisdom. It's "knowledge" of how we came to be in this physical world. It's also knowledge that we were not poofed into existence.

Wisdom comes into play when we Human Beings begin to "see" the activity of the Divine with in each living soul.

Blasphemy! Heretic!

Five hundred years ago, you would have been tortured, and turned over for execution as a heretic, courtesy of the Roman Catholic church.
But today you will be venerated, courtesy of the Charles Darwin church.

Well, to be honest, I'm waiting to see if Master Po shows up to vent his disgust on those he considers tooting their own horn.

I have a feeling you're not even on his radar scope.

It's ironic that self-professed "wise men" tell Bible quoters that they are doing nothing but exalting themselves; isn't it?

Atheists won't bother you guys, but they'll come after the likes of me and JP and dad and others who are on the front line expressing their honest opinions.

And that says a lot.

Seriously AV, your martyr (victim) complex is tiresome. Get over yourself. It's the internet. You can turn it off and walk away at any time. No one is attacking you.

We're here to discuss. If you can't handle the heat, you know how to exit the kitchen.

Don't flatter yourself, chief. I would say most of the atheists in the forums will argue, debate with, or "go after," as you so theatrically put it, anyone posting something that is either irrational or that cannot be independently supported.

I don't need to -- you guys do that for me.

I consider it an honor to be picked out for ridicule.
The only time you are "ridiculed" AV is when you use semantics and disengenous statements with a healthy dose of question dodging.

This is frustrating to anyone trying to have a discussion based on its merits alone, regardless of one's personal dogma. But I suspect this point will get washed out during the filter of your confirmation bias.

Interesting...

You find evidence of your beliefs, you're validated, since you knew there had to be some evidence.
You find no evidence of your beliefs, you're validated, since there was never any evidence to be found, to begin with.

You're told you're right, you're validated; you already knew you were right anyway.
You're told you're wrong, you're validated; you already knew you were right anyway.

You're praised, you're validated; a sure sign that you're on the right track.
You're ridiculed, you're validated; a sure sign that you're on the right track.

According to Peter Wason and studies conducted by Drew Westen, MRIs reveal that when people processed information that ran against their strongly held views - (in this case, information that made their favored political candidate look bad) - they actually used different parts of the brain than they did when they processed neurtral or positivie informaiton. It seems confirmation bias really is hardwired in each of us, and that has enormous consequences for how opinions survive and are spread.

Someone forms a belief based on nothing more than the fact that other people around him hold that belief nonetheless has a belief. That belief causes confirmation bias to kick in, and incoming information is screened: If it supports the belief, it is readily accepted; if it goes against the belief, it is ignored, scrutinized carefully, or flatly rejected.

Taken from Daniel Gardner's "The Science of Fear."

I can definitely believe this... oh wait... is this my confirmation bias kicking in?

I wonder what Mr Gardner would consider someone who refuses to filter out incoming data that the earth is 4.57 billion years, as well as incoming written testimony that the earth is 6014 years?

Would he consider that to be fear-driven confirmation bias? confusion? what?

It is absolutely pointless arguing with AV16. He has dodged so many of my questions with stupid snide remarks that it is clear he doesn't have an answer for them. Unfortunately his pride (yep, that's a sin ;) ) doesn't allow him to admit he might not know the answer.

To all involved, don't bother arguing with AV, it is clear he doesn't have a clue (due to him completely avoiding questions and pretending they were never uttered). He is a complete waste of ones time and energy.

The funniest part is how he thinks he comes across as intelligent, when even the other Christians on this forum are laughing at his logic (or complete and utter lack thereof).

Again, I disagree with that.

At the very least, it was in a prescient stage.

Solomon studied apes and concluded:

Ec 7:29 Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions.

Yes -- Solomon couldn't use the word "evolution", but he knew enough to call it what it is: an 'invention' -- (not a "discovery", like evolutionists think).

18I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.
19For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. Ecclesiastes 3:18-19

Evolution has whales coming after land animals; creationism has whales before land animals.

Genesis 1:21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

The word is livyatan, Hebrew for "great fish". It was not a whale.

Livyatan is a giant fish which was created during the Six days of Creation. G-d created one male livyatan and one female, which never reproduced because He "castrated the male and killed the female and preserved it for the righteous in the future."

The Midrash describes the battle between the Shor Habar (Wild Ox) and the livyatan. The shor habor will batter the livyatan with its horns and rend it, and the livyatan will batter the shor habar with its fins and pierce through it.
