I disagree. It matters not the evolutionary trajectory we arose from, we are still Human Beings.
I disagree.
In Darwin's trajectory we are Homo sapiens, and Paul points out that those who call themselves sapiens run the risk of becoming atheists:
Ro 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
In God's trajectory we are living souls.
Ge 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
ToE was unknown at the time of Paul. This scripture is not alluding to ToE. This is what happens when all you read is the bible. Context is everything.I disagree.

I know what 'sapiens' means.'Sapiens' means 'wise' or 'rational.'
Watch that Arab Phone, sandwiches. So, what you're saying is that the Bible is against Christians being wise or rational.
Yes -- that Arab Phone was tailor-made for those who don't like how the Bible puts it.That explains a lot.
Again, I disagree with that.ToE was unknown at the time of Paul.
So, a name is really so significant to where a person could go to hell for calling themselves a Homo Sapiens?I know what 'sapiens' means.
Watch that Arab Phone, sandwiches.
The Bible is against anyone (not just Christians) professing themselves (not 'being') to be wise.
True wisdom comes from God -- not science.
Yes -- that Arab Phone was tailor-made for those who don't like how the Bible puts it.
That's why they like to change "miracle" to "magic" and "created ex nihilo or materia" to "poofed".
Again, I disagree with that.
At the very least, it was in a prescient stage.
Solomon studied apes and concluded:
Ec 7:29 Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions.
Yes -- Solomon couldn't use the word "evolution", but he knew enough to call it what it is: an 'invention' -- (not a "discovery", like evolutionists think).
What does soteriology have to do with this? So, a name is really so significant to where a person could go to hell for calling themselves a Homo Sapiens?
Well, I could pull rank and say they are God's words and not Pauls, but I won't -- unless you insist. What is there to disagree with? Darwin published the "Origin" in 1859. The earliest mss we have of Paul is what, late first, early second century? Either way, that was a long way inbetween, so no way Paul would have know about ToE.
In fact your reasons for believing otherwise are none other than religious. Continually making false claims is disingenuous at least. Can you think of any other reason for Pauls statement?
What does soteriology have to do with this?
Not so much pulling rank as suggesting something you will never be able to support. In fact, name just one thing "special or revelatory" that Paul, with his education and experience, could not have been written by him alone.Well, I could pull rank and say they are God's words and not Pauls, but I won't -- unless you insist.
The Rapture:In fact, name just one thing "special or revelatory" that Paul, with his education and experience, could not have been written by him alone.
This didn't happen. This hasn't happened. This proves nothing but my point. Anyone could have written this. The Rapture:
51 ¶ Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
I understand Matthew 7:6.This didn't happen. This hasn't happened. This proves nothing but my point. Anyone could have written this.
"In the year 2281, the earth will quake with resounding fury and force such as never experienced. The dead will rise, and the risen shall fall. The internet shall be dispensed freely, unabated, to all who shall use WiFi."
See, anyone can write anything. Doesn't make it true, however. Surely you understand this?
As do I.I understand Matthew 7:6.
I understand Matthew 7:6.
I disagree with your disagreement.I disagree.
Blasphemy! Heretic!I disagree with your disagreement.
We are what we are today. Period!! And what we are, are Homo Sapiens. Science has shown though that we evolved into what we are.
Or to re-phrase this as I put on my hat as lover of God...science has shown through the window of evolution that God created His Homo Sapiens creation through an evolutionary process.
