All of them, I think. But not all at the same time. I don't think there's any one place to see thistles growing, and also stalactites, and also two oceans. Now there's a challenge! Maybe if people from Egypt, Iran, and China each carried pots of dirt from their countries, that would count as the three countries; and then you stand next to a stream, while it's raining...

I think what the OP was getting at was the way things looked before God put His curse on the Cosmos on account of Adam & Eve's sin: The World That Then Was.

There are forums for preaching, theology and mythology, this is not one of them.

I find it very relevant in a sub-forum about "Creation & Evolution."

No Iran. What means of intercontinental transport are you offering here sport? Are there any costs involved?

So you agree with the standard theory of continental drift, but you reject the standard time frames for it to happen? You see the continents as having moved apart in the space of 6000 years?

Correct.

More appropriately ... having been moved apart.

In other words, God did it.

Correct.More appropriately ... having been moved apart.

In other words, God did it.
A massive amount of sediment transport, deposition, and gambit of deformation to diagenesis occurred from movents from the deep, as if reservoirs of materials for a select time of changing the face of the Earth (destroying the former).

For one simple example apparent to us now: the mega sand accumulation across North Africa to across Saudi Arabia. If waters under geo-pressure and angles Earth surface, the sands would make an assortment of stratifications. Like the Navajo/Sundance formation etc........

God should never be left out of the equation, of His Creation and Acts He performs with Purpose.

Naturalism stinks.

I wondered what to do with the three countries. Egypt, Iran, and China all had major governmental upheavals in the 20th century, so none of them existed in exactly their modern form in 4004 BC. On the other hand, all three of them were inhabited by 4004 BC and were developing civilizations, so they existed in some sense. I decided to say that if the lands we now call "Egypt", "Iran", and "China" existed and were inhabited by human residents, then "yes", those places existed.

I was thinking in terms of empires, or nations at least, something that might indicate a unified people under a ruler or rulers which could be given a name. Nothing like an empire or nation in any case in 4000bc, just small agrarian settlements perhaps, as in early Sumeria.

You're transported back to the year 4004 BC.

Please answer YES or NO to the following items you would expect to see:

This sounds like fun.

1. a yellow sun

Depends. Is it morning or evening? Because then, it might be more some shade of orange.

2. thorns & thistles
Sure.

3. a moon with craters

Yes.

4. fossils

If I know where to dig them up, sure.

5. white cliffs, meandering streams, polystrate fossils

Sure.

6. stalactites & stalagmites
If I happen to visit such caves, sure.

Sure. Unless it's a beautifull summer day without clouds.

8. Egypt, Iran, China

They might be called differently and their borders would be completely different, but the lands on which those countries exist today would exist, sure.

The countries themselves, as in the countries: no.

9. five continents
No. 6

10. polar ice caps

Sure, if travel there

11. more than one ocean

They'ld exist, yes. If I would "see" them, would again depend on me going there.

This wasn't as much fun as I expected.
I expected something more original from you. You disappointed me a little.
