Katherine scooped Lenny up into her arms, holding him so that he couldn't get away and run after Jason. She turned and walked back to Luna, wondering why she had stopped a few feet away from the group of people. Lenny climbed up onto her shoulder and nuzzled against her neck, finally calm. Katherine sighed softly, exasperated, but rubbed his head. "He's usually not this much trouble..." she mumbled, half to herself and half to Luna, "I don't know how I'm going to practice using my powers if he keeps running off like that, but I don't want to just leave him in my room. I guess he's just not used to be around so many people...it's usually just me and dad..." She trailed off, trying to hide the fact that she missed her dad.

Luna nodded. She winced as she felt another wave of emotion. What was up with her power and this place? It probably had to be being around so many people. She was home schooled so she never got be around so many people at once. Luna sighed. She missed her parents and this emotion she was feeling from Katherine only made it worse. She focused everything on ignoring her emotions. Slowly, the feeling subsided and seemed to go away. “Does he have a leash or something?” Luna asked abruptly.

Jason looked down at the outstretched hand. I suppose she wants me to shake her hand. Thats odd. He shook her hand anyway. "You can call me Flame. " He said and he lit a flame in his hand and put it out. " you know, before you start crashing into people again you should try to learn a little self control. " he said in a more sarcastic than concerned tone. "so how long have you known you were super fast?" he said trying to start a conversation. not many people enjoyed talking to Jason here, so he figured he'd try to talk to her.

"about two weeks now. I only found out when I got the letter. and before you go all sarcastic on me, the field was empty. I didn't really expect to have to worry about crashing into people. nor did I expect to be going that fast. I wasn't really sure what to expect and I wasn't ready for it. hence my rather spectacular crash." well he seemed to be pulling his temper under control pretty well anyway. if he was willing to try for an actual conversation so was she. she didn't actually know that many people yet, and another acquaintance, if perhaps not friend, would be welcome."from your apparently perfect control I'd guess you've known for a while?" she wanted to ask what he'd been in prison for, but now didn't really seem like the time.

"Yes, he does...it's back in my room. I should probably start using it. I didn't realize he'd be such a bother around people.." Katherine answered. "Actually, they should be serving lunch soon, so I might should go put him in my room..." she said, wondering if she should just go, or ask Luna if she wanted to go with her.

"Ok." Luna replied. She stood there and looked around. She was glad that everyone had moved off. She never felt comfortable around more than a couple people.

Hope touched the surface of the water in the pool with her finger. She held her breath in anticipation, but let it out with a disappointed sigh when her finger plunged into the water. It was just as liquid as ever. It was probably too much to hope for at this point anyway. She had after all just used her power for the first time that day. It should have been good enough that she had been able to make the water in the glass solid, even if it was only for a few seconds. Looking up at the sky, she wondered how long she had been here. She had been so focused on trying over and over again to make the water solid that she had completely lost track of the time. It seemed like it was pretty close to time for lunch. She looked around and it appeared that several other students were starting to head inside too.

She stood up and glanced over toward the fence that surrounded the school. Her attention was captured by a small group of men on the other side of the fence. She wondered why they would be hanging out there. They all had on sunglasses and caps, but then considering the sun that was understandable. But still, something about them made her suspicious. One of the men turned his head and caught her looking at them. He nudged his companions and they casually moved off. Hope shook her head to clear her thoughts. It was nothing, besides there was the security fence and this place was filled with FBI agents. Who would be stupid enough to try something here? Even with these thoughts, she was having trouble convincing herself to believe them. She made her way toward the building with the dining hall.

Andrew looked the room over. If Sammy's gift had something to do with electricity, this was the place to test it out. He was surprised the room wasn't locked considering all of the mutant who were running around here, but then again with all the security cameras in the halls, it would be hard to get by with much.

"I don't know," Drew said with a shrug. "She said something about trying to get all emotional or junk and then think about your powers. Should we leave the computers off or turn them all on?"

Sammantha shrugged.

"I have no idea. Your guess is as good as mine."

She thought for a second.

"Well, I guess we could turn 'em on. Then maybe I'll be able to.. I don't know...whatever it is I'm supposed to be able to do, I guess."

"Hey, dude!! Wait up!!" he soon caught up with him. "Hey. The name's Connor!" he held out his hand for the guy to shake....

Jason turnd around suddenly, and looked at the guy. He was all wet and smiling, holding out his hand. When will this guy quit? Can't he take a hint.

"Buzz off! dude!" he said mockingly. "just go play with your water or something." he said referring to Connor's wet appearance. than he continued to walk away.

Kyler could see that the situation wasn't going to end well for Connor. Kyler ran up beside him. "Hey, man, you don't want to cause trouble with him. trust me on this."

Connor looked at the ghost boy.

"Maybe I do. Maybe messing with him could be my new hbby..." he chuckled to himself. Maybe he could start to find some fun in the nut house after all.

He turned to ther guy.

"Hey, man. I'm Connor. We really didn't have time to introduce ourselves after I dropped in on you." Connor laughed. Sometimes he just cracked himself up!!"

Connor looked at the ghost boy.

"Maybe I do. Maybe messing with him could be my new hbby..." he chuckled to himself. Maybe he could start to find some fun in the nut house after all.

He turned to ther guy.

"Hey, man. I'm Connor. We really didn't have time to introduce ourselves after I dropped in on you." Connor laughed. Sometimes he just cracked himself up!!"

Kyler looked back at him with a somewhat confused look. "My name is Kyler, and it seems that Flame, or whatever it is he has everyone calling him, has some anger issues. I wouldn't go out of my way to make him angry. So anyway, how did you 'dropp in on me' as you put it?"

"Actually I have practiced quite a bit. I've know i had them since i was born. MY ,uh, parents found out at the hospitol; but i never found out what they were or tried to use them until i was about 12 or 13. It was a while ago. Its such a shame that using these awsome powers is illegal, cause it i loved learning them. "

Lluvia headed towards the dining hall. She wasn't really hungry but everyone else was going there so she decided to follow them.

"I should probably go put Lenny in my room, then go get lunch," Katherine said, "I guess I'll see you there!" She walked off, holding Lenny in her arms, as she headed inside.

He smiled as he began to explain how he dropped in.

"Well, my ability is something called teleportation. I can kind of, like, poof from one location to another. So far I've been able to teleport, but I have yet to appear in my desired location.."

He shrugged.

"So, I'm guessing your powers are invisibility and being able to walk through stuff?? I mean, I just dropped right through you!! How did you learn to control that???"

"Okay," Drew said as he headed over to a computer to turn it on. He suddenly imagined a huge power surge and all of the computers exploding. Even though Sammy hadn't developed her powers, there was no telling what would happen. He pulled his hand back a bit. "Maybe we just start with one or two on. Just in case, it might not be a good idea to start with a lot of electricity since it's your first time."
