Unfortunately some in his own church happily provided him with the sacraments knowing he supported the murder of children in the womb and that he conducted at least one homosexual marriage. Shameful but true. But that pope is gone now and we can hope for some improvement.

The USCCB, the national bishop's conference, quite a few years ago discussed exactly this. Then cardinal Ratzinger sent a letter to ex-cardinal Theodore McCarrick, the now dead abuser of boys and seminarians and who knows who else. The letter said that notorious supporters of abortion had to be excluded from the Eucharist until they repented. But abuser ex-cardinal McCarrick pocketed that letter and steered the issue into a committee where it died. This was before ex-Cardinal McCarrick got outed as an abuser and forced into retirement by pope Benedict XVI.

With there crazily being no official policy about this individual woke bishops allowed Biden access to the Eucharist in their dioceses. They should have protected him and warned him in the hope that he would repent.

In other words, something Bill Donohue actually said as opposed to someone else's characterization of his position. In your link Donohue objects to wording in a report.

The old "shoot the messenger" tactic was used to deflect from the article, where a false statement was put out to deflect. Donahue isn't a messenger, he's a propagandist and an apologist for bad behavior. This sequence of messages has been about him specifically. You really shouldn't confuse Donahue with your church. He is not their spokesman. He is a loud angry guy with a blog who goes on TV to sputter about anything he perceives as an attack on the Church.

As for the "article" (screed) itself. I looked at it and I couldn't see what new information he had. There were no documents linked or even quoted. Just a bunch of claims.
