((I'm assuming that since they're all new and they were all told about it during the orientation thingy, they're all supposed to be there. ))

Katherine walked into the classroom, a cheerful look on her face. She glanced around the room, then plopped down into one of the seats in the back row furthest from the projection board. Once in her seat, she crossed her legs and set down her book bag that she'd brought along, just in case she needed to take notes. She rested her elbow on the desk and lay her chin in her palm, swinging her legs slightly.

((Yes, she's short & the seat of the chair's just high enough for her to swing her legs. xP ))

((Sorry, I assumed everyone was keeping up with the OOC thread as well. This is the class I talked about in the OOC thread where everyone meets together to strengthen their powers. If you want to finish something from dinner/last night go ahead (see OOC thread for more detail) but otherwise we're in the next day starting the first class.))

Zalx looked at Jason. "Well its basiclly like.... Imagine.... Ok its not basic at all. Ok, I can mind control cells to do things I want. Like in our bodies we have cells that use calcium to make bones, then we have these other cells that use acid to get rid of old bones while the other ones make new ones. So basiclly I can make the bone makers to work 10 times harder, and make the bone destroyers stop, so I can grow bones out of my skin. Also, certin cells have weak pain relivers, and so I make them work harder too so I don't have to actually feel those bones coming out of my skin to much. Then, I could excite my blood cells to clot near the wounds where the bone left my skin, and make my skin cells there duplicate thosends of times. So I can make a weapon, retrive it, and heal withen a couple dozen seconds." He stopped for a second, then said, "Well I have to know alot about my cells to control them, luckly my power never falters, like I never grow bones when I don't need to. My cells just take orders from the passive part of my brain like anyone else, until I can perpiouslly order it around. Like.... Like how anyone breaths normal, but if they want to, you can hold your breath or breath faster, for no reason. Its the exact same but I have alot more control of anywhere on my body. Oh, and by the way, just call me Zalx."

Zalx entered the classroom, not exactly happy. He got a bad night sleep, thanks to his roommate looking at him and shrieking everytime Zalx breathed louder then normal, all night. anyway he was finally, after all these years, ready to be stronger. He toke a seat about half way, normally he was a guy who would sit in the back and talk and such, but this wasn't boring school, this was... This was a really cool school. He wondered if he could learn how to take out bullets with simple muscule contrations, or hollowing his bones and giving him skin flap under his armpits to glide, or mabye even learning how to make his body as flat as paper to slip under doors, the possibilites were endless...

Sammy had slept rather well. The night had been uneventful and now she was sitting in the classroom, waiting for the orientation to begin. She was excited and looked around, pitying all the people who where apparantly wishing they were still in bed.

She opened her note book and wrote her name and the date in the corner. She looked at the girl sitting next to her and smiled.

Connor got out of bed and shut off his alarm clock. He walked into the bathroom and splashed his face with cold water. He combed through his tangled hair and walked back into his room. He looked over at the clock and saw the time. He was late!!!

He cursed himslef and looked down at himself. He was wearing shorts and a tank top. Definetly not appropriate wear. But he had no other choice. It was either go like that or iss the meeting. He quickly ran out the door. He ran into the oom panting. He stomache rumbled. He hadn't had a chance to eat yet, but that was the price one paid for enjoying a bit of rest. He found a chair in the back, hoping this would be over with soon.

JASON

Jason's eyes opend. He had had a good night sleep, for the first time in a long time. He glanced over at the clock beside his bed. The alarm clock must have failed to go off, but there was still plenty of time before the class. Jason grabbed a pillow from his bed and went into the bedroom next to him. He took the pillow and trew it at the still sleeping Kyler. "Hey, alarm clocks did work. time to get up." Kyler moned, aparently he wasn't a morning person. Jason quickly got dressed into his torn jeans and red tea shirt. HE spiked up his bright red hair, and ran out the door. Quickly he made his way to the classroom where this lesson was suposed to be held. Jason was oe of the first people there, but soon alot more started to show up. Suprisingly, Jason was actually very excited about learning. He had developed his powers but only slightly. HE didn't have all that uch control and he knew that there was so much more that he could do.

KYLER

Kyler sat up and yawned. He wasn't to fond of Jason's rude wake up call, but was glad that he woke him up. Otherwise he may have missed the lesson. Kyler sighed and got up out out of bed. He too got ready to go, but not nearly as fast as Jason. Kyler combed his white hair out of his face and to the side but it always managed to find it way back in front of his face. Kyler locked the door behind him and soon arrived in the classroom. Almost everyone was there and most of the seats were taken, there was however an available seat in the back row, Kyler's favorite row. He sat down and waited with the rest of the students. Sitting in this classroom reminded Kyler of back when he was in highschool not all that long ago. Kyler didn't have any friends and often found himself to be the victim of numberous jokes. Hopefully this would be a more pleasant experiance. The only good thing about this was that maybe these lessons would help Kyler to learn how to keep from accidental slips of his power. Kyler was always dropping things through his hands and parts of him turning invisable, but hopefully this would change all that.

Izzy jumped at the sound of her alarm clock. She reached out a hand and groped for the button. When she finally found it, she turned off the alarm and let her arm flop back onto the bed for a moment. Her mind wandered back to the dinner table the night before. She hadn't been expecting that Caitlyn girl to ask about Izzy's powers straight off the bat like that. Izzy probably should have been prepared, but she hadn't been and ended up giving a very cryptic answer saying only that she could move objects without touching them. She hadn't mentioned anything about her telepathy as she didn't know how people would react yet.

She sat up in bed and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. She had slept well and didn't want to get up. But the prospect of her first class was much too exciting. Izzy took a quick shower, put her hair back into a small ponytail, threw on a pair of ratty jeans, a fitted black Pink Floyd T-shirt along with her socks and shoes and walked to the classrooms.

When Izzy got to the classroom she was surprised to find that many of the other mutants were already there, including one of the girls she had met at the table the night before, Sammy; the prisoner, Jason; and her own roommate, Hope. Izzy took a seat in the second row near the back of the room, hoping the instructor might not call on her if she was less visible. She noticed that some of the students had notebooks with them and she mentally kicked herself. You're going to a school and you don't bring a notebook? Good, Izzy. Real good start. Izzy frowned and closed her eyes for a second, taking a deep breath and realizing that was something her father might say. Her father, of course, hadn't wanted her to come here and would have succeeded in stopping her if she hadn't held the front door closed with her powers as she ran down the dirt road towards town. She could still hear him banging his fists on the door and screaming at her to come back.

Izzy opened her eyes, pushing the memory to the back of her mind. She contented herself to look around the classroom at the other students, wondering when the teacher would show and what they were possibly going to do today.

Zlax noticed that other people had notebooks. Great job moron. Ahh, no big. They probly give one out or sell them or something, well.... Actually, why would we even take notes? this a school about our powers. Well.... Mabye he didn't need to, he could easily push certin useless things in school out of his memory part of his brain to remember what to do to do certin things. Zalx was very lucky, he could partially use his powers without being caught, so he was lucky. Wait, how could they teach us how to use our powers? Its not like their is a whole group of fire controllers and they will have a fire class our something. How will they teach us?

A woman with short cut hair walked into the classroom and over to the computer. She was wearing a fashionable suit and carried herself with confidence. After looking at the computer screen, she studied the faces around the room. The room was set up with face recognition software that read each person as they came in as a way to take role. However, there was no requirement to show up to a certain number of classes. This was a completely voluntary program but students quickly learn the value of showing up to class as what they learned could not be found in books.

"Welcome to day one, class," she said in a voice that was as professional and no-nonsense as her appearance. "I'm sure that anyone who is not here right now will be shortly, so let's get started. You may address me as Agent Razze. I see that several of you have notebooks. I think most of you will find that this class is not like any class you have been in before. We will not be spending much time in our desks and will not have much opportunity to take notes on paper. This large space in the center of the room is where we will be spending most of our time."

She waited a brief moment for the students to let this sink in before continuing. "Okay, so let's get started. The last thing we want to do is waste any time. I want everyone to get up and come to the middle of the room. Get into small groups, at least two but no more than five. I want you each to share with your group all that you know about your abilities and show an example if you can do that without injuring someone or causing damage. The first thing we need to learn is that now you can do what you have been forbidden to do all your life and we all need to be open with each other. Ready and go!" She smiled as she watched the various reactions to this fist assignment.

Lluvia sat at her desk fiddling with her ID.Yesterday had been a brief and somewhat confusing day for her. After the orientation, she had gone to her room. It was larger and más hermoso than any other room she had ever slept in before. They seemed to have a over abundance of money to spend. But the people seemed antipático, cold, and business-like. They didn't really seem to care. Lluvia stood up slowly after the teacher finished speaking and moved towards the center of the room.

Luna scratched her head and rolled out of bed. Sleepily she looked at the clock on the night stand next to her bed. Didn't the guide say they had a class, like, 5 minutes ago? As the thought slowly sank in, Luna scrambled to get ready. She grabbed a black pair of cargos and a shirt. She pulled on a black zip up hoodie and pulled the hood up over her head just in case. She ran down the halls trying to remember where the guide had said the classes would be. Finally, she stopped when she thought she heard a voice. She peeked in the door and turned red. It was the class. Quickly, she sat down in the most vacant spot closest to the door and pulled her hood down farther. Luna caught the tail end of the Agent's "speech" for lack of a better word, and blanched. Was the world created specifically to torture her?! Why did she need to tell someone about her powers? How could she even DEMONSTRATE her power? EMPATHY! How are you supposed to demonstrate THAT? "Oh, I know how you feel." She looked down at the ID in her hands that she had somehow forgotten to forget. She stubbornly sat there, refusing to move. There was no way that she would be able to tell anyone about her powers.

Zalx walked into the center of the room. He saw a cat like girl all alone. He walked over and said "High! I'm Zalx." He put out his hand to shake.

Katherine hopped up from her seat and strode towards the middle of the room. Once among the crowd of people, she realized her height was an extreme disadvantage for finding Kade and Kyler. She stood on her tiptoes and craned her neck, then found the two and rushed over to them, smiling brightly.

Caitlyn drifted over to the middle of the room, wondering if she would be able to group up with Sammy and/or Izzy. from the none-too-helpful answer Izzy had given last night to her rather awkward question, it sounded like she was telekinetic. Caitlyn hadn't gotten a good look at her badge, so she wasn't sure. well at least she knows. I've never used my powers at all. how am I supposed to know what to say? what ever. she'd figure it out. she started worming her way around the crowded area in the hopes of finding someone she recognized.

Kyler stood up with everyone else. Why do we have to be in groups. Cant we just do this by ourselves. Kyler walked around in search of someone to pair up with. He saw Kade standing not to far away. He approached her and soon Katherine joined them. Katherine seemed so happy. Kyler didn't really want to go first so he quietly asked Katherine " Do you want to go first?"

JAson stood up and walked around the room. Now it was time to get serious. Everyone looked like they were easily getting into small groups. HE saw one girl he wasn't in a group yet and approached her. HE walked up to Lluvia. "Hey name's Flame. and you are?"

"Hmm...I suppose that I could...." Katherine said, thinking, and for the first time looking calm. "To be honest I don't know a whole lot about my powers...just that I can get people to do things sometimes...like if I'm really upset...." she explained. She considered provoking Jason into attacking her, then making him run into a wall, and had to bite her lip to stifle a laugh.

Lluvia stood around the edges of the group of students. She was suddenly very self-concious about her height, or lack of. Lluvia smiled at Flame. "Hi, it's nice to meet you. My name is Lluvia." She paused a moment. "If your name is Flame, does that mean that you can control fire?"

((As of the moment you wrote that Renight, Luna was sitting at her desk, refusing to go to the center of the room... and you can't tell she's a catgirl because she is wearing a hood which would cover her ears if they decided to grow at that moment.))

Luna finally shuffled out of her desk as the last stragglers moved towards the center of the room. Moodily, she stood just inside the edge of the desks; wishing she was invisible. And like always, someone noticed her. Luna crossed her arms and leaned back against a desk. She weighed whether or not to answer this guy as she tried to sink deeper into her hood. "Hey." She finally said without looking at him. Luna became more and more nervous as he stood there waiting for her to shake his hand. He had to give up sometime now didn't he? Stubbornly, she stared at her feet and hoped he hadn't noticed her fangs or the lumps that were starting to grow on top of her head.

"Ok...well...I suppose I could try...but like I usually can't do anything unless I'm upset or I really want something to happen.....I suppose if I concentrated, I could do it..." Katherine said, looking unsure.

Then she had an idea. Sometimes things moved when she wanted them to ... kind of like making people do things, except with inanimate objects. She peered around for something small...then she spotted a pencil laying on a nearby desk. She bit her lip softly.

"Watch...." she said quietly to Kade and Kyler, staring at the pencil, which was about 6 feet away from them. The pencil twitched a little, then slowly rolled off the table and onto the floor. Katherine blinked, not sure whether to feel pleased or surprised....or maybe embarrassed. It wasn't much - but at least it was something.
