Hope let out a deep breath that she had been holding as the boy walked away. Once he had turned his attention to the other group, Hope gently slapped Izzy on the arm. "What were you thinking?" she giggled. "I can't believe you actually invited him into our group."

Caitlyn came over and joined the two of them. "Can you believe Izzy asked him to join our group? It was funny though, how he stumbled over what to say and made the lame excuse for having another group. Oh well, let's forget about that and get back to what we were doing."

"Yeah, I'll go next," Hope answered Izzy. "Though I can't say much, let alone do anything. It's crazy that so many people know how to use their ability and I didn't even know what mine was before coming here, still don't know exactly what it means. I want to be able to do something cool with it though. I hope Agent Razze and the others will be able to help."

She glanced over to the instructor and noticed that her attention was still turned toward them though it wasn't as exclusively directed to them as it had just been. "Maybe she can help me now." Excitedly she raised her hand getting Agent Razze's attention, then put it back down waiting for her to come over.

Andrew was glad when the girl was quiet. He felt as though he had taken control of the situation. No longer was he the kid who would just sit around and let bad things happen without doing something about it, he wouldn't make that mistake again. Now he would take action and stop people from being hurt.

But then he looked at her as she apologized once again and tried to explain what happened. It didn't show in his face, but he realized that right then, he was the one hurting someone else. He had just yelled at a girl he didn't know over some silly accident. It's not like he was really hurt or anything, he couldn't even feel the sting anymore.

Andrew looked away from Izzy as he felt himself almost lose the front he was putting on. As he glanced around the room, he noticed that students had looked away and back to their groups. He wondered if he had frightened them because of his reaction. Great, my first day and I'm labeled as that bully kid who everyone is scared of! But then something unexpected happened, Izzy asked him to join her group.

He looked at her and the girl standing next to her who was giving Izzy this "are you crazy" look. Drew had to fight to keep from smirking about that. He looked over to see another girl sitting where Izzy had gestured. The very last thing he wanted to do right now was join a group, especially one of all girls one of whom just accidently whacked him with a 'power-provoked' coin. He was about to refuse right out when he noticed that Agent Razze still had her eye on them.

"Uhh, actually," he stuttered as he quickly surveyed the room. Every fiber in his body was telling him to flee the room. Then he spotted a small group nearby that at least had another guy in it. "Actually, I was just about to join a group over there." He said nodding toward Connor and Sammy. "I should get over there, they're probably waiting for me."

Drew sat down next to Connor and in a hushed voice said, "hey, I don't have to be in your group or anything, you can even ignore me if you want, but can you kinda pretend like I'm in your group so the teach doesn't give me any hassle?"

Connor nodded.

"Sure... but I think the point is to discuss our abiities.."

He looked down at his badge. "Um... I guess I'm a teleporter. Whatever that means."

Sammy smiled at the new boy. She listened as Connor revealed his ability.

"Teleport. Oh my gosh. I heard my science teacher talking about something like that. It means you can, like, travel to another place just by thinking about it!! Awesome!!"

Andrew had hoped that Connor and Sammy would just agree to ignore him, but then he was quite interested in hearing about other people's abilities. Though he wasn't exactly excited about sharing his.

Drew raised an eyebrow as Connor told what his ability was. "I wish I could teleport," he scoffed. "I'd be out of here in a second." Why does everyone else have to have useful and great powers? I must have the stupidiest mutation ever. He took his badge off and laid it upside down on his desk hoping that the others hadn't seen it.

Connor shrugged. "I wish I knew how to. Then I wouldn't have to walk all over this campus or whatever it is. I'm not even sure how it works..." he turned to the girl. "So... Sammy, what's your power??"

Sammy shrugged.

"My tag says some stuff about electricty. I guess I'm supposed to be able to control it or something. Once I freaked out at my parents and the light all flickered and exploded. So, yeah... I guess that's it."

She shrugged and looked at the other boy.

"So... what's your name and power?"

((( "Humm....I wonder if I could do that. Would you show me how Kyler?" she asked. "I think we have simaler powers." Kade added.

Andrew started tapping the heel of his foot without realizing it. He was also fidgeting with the clip of his badge laying on his desk. His anxiety increased when Sammy asked what his power was, now everyone will find out and laugh at him. With the thought of escape, he glanced toward the door but saw the teacher making her way to the back of the room.

He sighed, might as well get this over with. "Drew, Andrew really but I go by Drew. I .." he stumbled for words. "I guess it has something to do with seeing stuff that happened in the past. I know pretty stupid right? I mean it already happened so what's the point in seeing it. But I don't know, I've never used it." He lied. He was not ready to talk about the times when he used it with no control. It wasn't something he even wanted to think about. "So, is that it? Is that all we're supposed to do?"

 

[Everloving]

"Yeah," Sammy nodded. I guess that's it. So... whatexactly are we supposed to do now. I wanna start learning to use my gift!!"

"I've walked through a few walls one time when I was sleep walking...........I think I've done that quite a bit" Kade said with a shurg. "Oh yah....Walking on air? I've done that a few times to...Scared my mom really bad with that one."

"Humm....I wonder if I could do that. Would you show me how Kyler?" she asked. "I think we have simaler powers." Kade added.

"Well, for me it just like another part of me that my brain tell what to do, only sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It's kind hard to explain. Its kinda like moving only your little toe by itself. Your brain tells it to move, but it doesn't always listen. Maybe that wasn't the best example. People keep saying how they never even knew about their abilities, but for me, it always been there, like part of me."

Hope certainly seemed excited. and she wasn't exactly in complete control of her powers either. see? nothing to stress about. chill out.

"Of course I'm excited. I mean, come on, is this like any class you've had before? I was expecting to come in here and listen to some teacher drone on for an hour. But instead we get to talk to each other about our abilities and even see some."

As Hope finished talking, Agent Razze came over and asked what her question was.

Hope quickly asked, "I've never used my ability before. I don't even know what it is really. What do I do? How am I supposed to use it?"

Agent Razze smiled at Hope enthusiasm. "Well, let's see." She looked down at Hope's badge. "According to your badge, your ability allows you to make anything that is gas or liquid become solid. As for how you use it, that will come in time. Right now we need to see where everyone is currently, then we will focus on helping everyone to allow their ability to come and then of course how to control it and strengthen it."

Agent Razze looked around at the rest of the group. "Any other questions?"

"Yeah," Sammy nodded. I guess that's it. So... whatexactly are we supposed to do now. I wanna start learning to use my gift!!"

"Yeah, or start learning how to not use it," Andrew scoffed under his breath not realizing that it was loud enough for the others in his group to hear.

Katherine tried to listen intently as Kyler explained his powers to Kade; but in the back of her mind she was still thinking about the poor guy who came in late and immediately had everyone's attention. She felt drawn to him for some reason...maybe because he seemed to be in so much emotional pain. How on earth do I even know that? It wasn't obvious from his behavior.... She lifted up her badge slightly and looked at it, re-reading it just in case she'd missed something.

Telepathy? ...I thought that only happened when I touched someone.... Maybe my powers are stronger than I thought....but I'm not really reading his mind...just his emotions? The more she thought about it, the more confused she became, and she eventually found herself chewing on her lip: a bad habit she had when she was anxious.

Connor looked at Drew, but felt that the guy really shouldn't have to explain why he didn't want his powers. Everyone had different reasons for being there. He hoped Sammy would take a hint. However, she wasn't one to let things hang.

"Oh, Andrew!! Don't say such things!! We're here to embrace our powers!! You shouldn't hate them!! What did they ever do to you that you're so mad at yourself??" Sammy crossed her arms and waited for Drew to explain himself.

"What gave it away? The firy red hair? The tatoos of flames all down my arms, or a name like flame?" JAson said with a smile. "So they said they wanted us to demonstrate our awsome powers, so watch and be amazed." Jaspn stepped back and lite his hand on fire. then he took that fire and tossed it from one hand to the other. "there's a whole lot more where that came from" Jason said proudly, knowing that he was probably the only one in the room that could control his powers that way. "So, what's your special gift?"

Lluvia watched with amazement at Jason's display of power. "Dios en el colmo todo de gran alcance." She breathed. Never had she seen anything like that. Compared to his power, hers was completely agujereaba. "Oh, mis energías no es nada comparado el tuyo." Lluvia finally stammered out, then realizing she had said that in Spanish she started apologizing. "I'm sorry, I meant to say that my powers were nothing compared to yours. I don't really have any control over it either." She paused trying to think of a way to explain her power. "It's like... it's like a... a mist, or rain, or something like that, and it comes out of my skin as best as I can tell, and heals anything it touches. But I don't know how to make it work, it just works when I need it." Lluvia stopped not knowing what else to say. "So your fire that you make doesn't burn you or what you're wearing? But it would still burn anything else it touched? Or can you make it not burn something that you don't want burned?"

Renight asked the girl, "Whats your power?"

Luna rolled her eyes. When was this guy going to give up? She sat there stubbornly refusing to answer him. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a coin fly through the air and hit a guy on the back of his head. While everyone was distracted, she slunk behind Zalx and into the crowd of people. She slid down next to a desk which effectively hid her from Zalx and the teacher. Luna subconciously slid her hands under her hood and felt her furry ears. Why had they picked this moment to suddenly grow? She sighed and leaned back against the desk. All the sounds in the room were amplified now. The guy who had gotten hit in the head's outbursts were so loud to her, she had to cover her ears to drown them out. As it quieted down, she relaxed and waited for the class to end.

Connor rolled his eyes and walked over to the group that Agent Razze was talking with.

"Excuse me, ma'am, but is when exactly are we going to start doing what we're here for?? I didn't come to chat and gossip with. I'm here to work."

Zalx looked back from the coin guy. "Yah so whats your...." He noticed she was gone. "Oh well." He walked over to Jason. "Man you got a cool power, but everyone watch this!" Zalx leaned forward slightly, spread out his feet, and put his hands on his head. He then grunted and moaned as he rumbled, after a few seconds, his skin was rising up in small bumps at certin points on his spine. He then shrieked as the bones shot out, he now had spikes coming out of his back.

Izzy was listening intently to what Agent Razze had to say in answer to Hope's questions. She wondered whether or not those who knew how to use their powers would be in separate classes at first from those who didn't. She was about to ask this when a young man walked up and spoke to Agent Razze.

"Excuse me, ma'am, but when exactly are we going to start doing what we're here for?? I didn't come to chat and gossip with. I'm here to work." He asked. Inside, Izzy felt his annoyance and for a moment she found herself thinking the same thing. The guy had a point, but Izzy thought he could have said it a little better.

She saw Agent Razze open her mouth to answer when there was a sudden cry from the center of the room. She glanced over and saw a red-haired fellow had just sprouted spikes on his back. Izzy's eyebrows raised in surprise, but the guy was far from alarmed. Even without her sixth sense, it was quite plain he was enjoying showing off. There certainly are a wide variety of abilities here. She thought to herself, turning back to Agent Razze. "Yes," Izzy said to her, "It's interesting to learn of everyone's ability, but I'd like to get to the part where I learn how to control my abilities as soon as possible. As you probably saw just a couple minutes ago with that coin flying through the air, I'm afraid I'm causing more harm than good with what little control I have now." She gave a small smile.
