  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm the kind of person who will sit through most average movies and try to look for the good points, almost never having negative to say.....until I saw a little movie called "House of a 1000 corpses"

Hands down the worst movie I've seen in my life, absolutely no redeeming qualities and frankly I'm not sure how this got past the censors. The plot well there was no plot, just mind numbing acts of violence one after the other. I walked out very disturbed. I think Rob Zombie should stick to making music and leave movies alone.

I tend to know in advance whether or not I want to see something and thankfully have saved money that way and haven't been fooled by movie teasers where they try to get the "best parts" in it to lure you to see it...lol...but one that got me was C.H.U.D -- cannibalistic humanoid underground dweller which my friend brought over on video. I told her midway to change movies it was sooooooo stupid.
Any of those Dawn of the Dead ones since there's just no point or plot and I can't believe they invested in another "updated" one and that Ving Rhames fell for it.

Full Metal Jacket was a movie I walked out of about 30 minutes into it - but it was part of a double feature and it was the 2nd film and I had never heard of it, so I sat to watch it.

Men in Black II I saw on video and felt let down.

Johnny Depp's movie "From Hell" I had to roll my eyes. My friend sent it on DVD and I still haven't finished watching it. I think it's one of the most banal Depp films I've witnessed so far.

Mortal Kombat II - totally sucked

and some really stupid movie that I remember Andrew Stephens was in that reputedly he also wrote or directed. I forget but it was a Sci-Fi-ish kind of deal. Really lame.

The Beast Within - another dumb one. (My cousin always brought over these odd horror films and that happened to be one. Watched about 30 minutes and went to my room instead..lol)
