Yeah the lack of horizon is a nightmare here. All I can see is buildings and more buildings. The mountains are too short and when you get to the top you realize that you're surrounded by buildings.I dunno. Coming into Great Falls from the NE you have the Highwoods on the left hand and a good long view.Back here in MD there's too much, too close in, no far horizons.

[/quote]I have a Phillipine friend who thought Mt. Fuji was super beautiful until I filled her in on the Mission Mountains and she was simply speachless at their beauty.
Actually I'm north of Nagoya in her suburbs. I take a train two hours to get to my church and all I see the entire way is houses and buildings. My area, Gifu, has some itty bitty mountains (I'd call them hills but they're too steep) but hiking up them and seeing only buildings makes it depressing
I'm moving back to Missoula this winter!! I am so excited to come home after so many years!
