It may not have a lot of trees, but it has its own beauty.

my parents just moved to kalispell this past summer. i love it there. i miss the mountains. kansas is boring compared to montana.

One has to agree that Montana has a lot of scenic places from the shores of Fort Peck Lake to the contenential divide. You'll see a little of just about everything in Montana except for a tropical rain forest.

I was bron and raised in Montana! I now live in Texas but miss the scenery. I don't really miss the cold winters though

I am a Texas transplant and live very close to Jellystone. After more than a year of being here I am finally starting to come around and actually like this place.

lifetime montana girl; there's even a road named after my dad's family off of old lasalle, i grew up behind the airport, but choose to live in kalispell, i like the small city atmosphere with the hometown friendliness, but not big on hunting.

it's nice to see there are others around.

As a person from Missoula, Montana living in Japan, I can't say how nice it is to have found this post

I've lived here long enough to know several things,

1) Nothing beats the beauty of the rockies.

2) Rural in Montana is true rural not like rural in Japan

3) Don't live in a foriegn country and watch A River Runs Through It. It'll bring a tear to your eye like nothing else.

4) I really really want to live in Montana again.

Man I want to come home to Montana soooo badly, if only my finances would allow it.

That is definately a movie to induce homesickness. During my Army days I was in Germany, Kosovo, TX, SC, NC, GA, and AL. It was nice to come home...and I brought my Southern bride with me.

Sorry, don't know about your part of Montana but in Missoula, Californians have a bad rep when they move here.

A Montanan-in-exile back east. I grew up in Great Falls and my parents still live there. I miss it so much.

I dunno. Coming into Great Falls from the NE you have the Highwoods on the left hand and a good long view. Back here in MD there's too much, too close in, no far horizons.
