I'm from a small town about 60 miles away from Springfield. New to the site.

I love bein' down here in the Ozarks. Although it is not as sheltered from society as I once thought it was, my quaint little town is perfectly fine as far as I'm concerned. The cool thing is that it has, like, 10 different churchs, which is kinda weird 'cause we only have about 1,000 people living around here (500 people live in the city, but our school district extends to the northern edge of the county ot another smaller town, for those who want to look me up )

Hello I'm from the same small town that Soldier_for_Christ resides. The town is small and isolated. The worst crime perpetrated this year was probably "Dog tips trash can over, angry hillbilly violates firearms ordinance." We have been considered the "buckle of the Ozarks bible belt". We are proud of our heritage but are always welcome to newcomers, so feel free to come any time.

Hello daleg. The city in which I reside is not far from Norwood. The academic team in which I am a member of has played Norwood numerous times. And don't feel bad-our population is only 607.

How often do they fire flares? From my location, you can only see the flares if they are unusually high. I was just curious as to how many I miss.

chalk up another one from the KC metro area/eastern Jackson Co. Though, I've also lived in a very tiny town southeast of Kirksville; Clarence, MO. And, I spent most weekends of my youth in the Ozarks (Laurie/Sunrise Beach) - still go there as often as we can!! In other words, I've driven and/or lived in just about every region of this state.
