CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes, the exchange rate is about 60 american cents to the canadian dollar (aka stronger american dollar). this fluxes continually.

Today some one told me something he did last week
He went into TCBY and bought something and got Canadian change back. He demanded that they give him American change. They refused so he whipped out his cell phone and threatened to call the cops. They finally gave him his change. True story.

I don't think about Canadian change, execpt when I go to a vending machine. I too have had people say, "What the heck is this?" when I give them Canadian change on a trip out of state. What's bad is when I get Canadian quarters from a change machine!

Canadian money's prettier than US money, though. And they just changed their designs.
My dad uses a looney for a marker when he plays golf.
Also, on the bust of the queen on the canadian money, her headgear's steadily increased in size. I've got some really old coins that look like a crown of flowers, then a little tiara-crown, then a full crown.
