Why is this the special issue that compels God to judge this country? You say that as if God was perfectly fine with chattel slavery in this country or the near genocide of American natives. Then we're even more narrow, and it still doesn't get you to abortion. As for the "singular" form of gospel, as in "the gospel of Christ" or "the good news" (in short form "Jesus is god, he came to save you from your sins, accept him for your salvation") doesn't speak of abortion either. (Not that that stopped the Archbishops from their obsessions.)
