Hopefully Suozzi will win Santos' seat tonight. One more Democratic vote.

I lived in that district for 16 years and hope my neighbors will redeem themselves after sending Santos to the House in 2022.

I love to amuse myself with the spin that the Democratic party politicians and talking heads in the media are putting out about Mayorkas.

Like what? That there is no crime, much less evidence of a crime?

Since the impeachment process is political in nature, some (apparently) surmise that the “charges” can be political too, even though the Constitution sez “high crimes and misdemeanors“.

Johnson delays Mayorkas impeachment trial until next week

Conservative senators, concerned about holding votes on a busy day when the upper chamber is scheduled to leave for the week, lobbied House Speaker Mike Johnson to move the trial

Now, the articles are likely to be transmitted on Monday, prompting the Senate to start a trial on Tuesday.
