Not preaching salvation based upon ethnicity !
It's not so much that I argue against your view of election as such (that's another discussion), but your misuse of Matt 1:21. God bless!

God has chosen who will be saved, and they shall be saved by Jesus Christ, and they are the only ones God promised to save by Jesus Christ, His People Matt 1:21
Again. First, you need to show from the B-I-B-L-E where God chooses from before time who will be saved and who will be damned. The fact that Jesus talks about the Elect does not mean such were individually chosen before their very existence. As a believer, we need to listen to the NT, put up the shield of faith and believe and cling to the promises of God's word (such as Philippians 4:4-7). As opposed to listening to the words of the devil and Calvinists (who sadly based upon the internet, commonly condemn everyone else).

Why does Paul state that God desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4)? Why does Paul in 1 Timothy 4:10 say that God is the saviour of all mankind if he is working to send some to hell?

You preach a false gospel conditioning salvation on ethnicity.

In the off chance (given your track record) you can do to the above, you need to reconcile why Paul stated that God desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4).
Have you ever read anything on TULIP ? Thats the Gospel of Gods Grace. 1 Tim 2:4 is about the Chosen, the Elect

1 Timothy 2:4 is addressed to all people - as God desires all people to be saved. Comprende? Check all the translations to English. Maybe you ought to write your own translation to fit your doctrine - maybe you can call it the TULIP translation.

Calvinist's like yourself treat God as if he has favorites per your "Gospel of God's grace". 1 Timothy 2:4 shows that God's grace extends to all mankind as He desires all (not just some secret selection before the foundation of the world) to be saved.

The Gospel in Acts 2;36-41 is that those who repent and are baptized in response to Peter's message will be saved. Your "Gospel of Grace" contradicts that as it turns the Gospel into a confidence game - do you feel that God chose you - do you punk?

1 Tim 2:4 is about the Elect and if you reject TULIP you reject the Gospel of Gods Grace

1 Timothy 2:4 is graciously addressed to all people - comprende? Why do you reject the B-I-B-L-E in favor of a man-made doctrine that you term the "Gospel of God's Grace"?

1 Timothy 2: 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

Per all major English translations. 1 Timothy 2:4 states that God desires "all people", "all men", or "everyone" to be saved. Perhaps you should write your own English translation - as you are wise in your own eyes.

So here you are on a Theology forum, parroting Calvinism while admitting that you are uninterested in what the Bible (here 1 Timothy 2:4) actual says.

His People that He shall save from their sins, its not limited, restricted to ethnic jews as its falsely taught by many today, but does include some Gentiles, or people of all ethnicities. Matt 1:21

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Now Paul writing to a gentile church in Thessalonica writes 1 Thess 1:10

10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

Whose the us Jesus delivered from the wrath to come ? Its His People of Matt 1:21 Its the very same Jesus ! Its the very same His People. Arent the gentile Thessalonians referred to as Gods Elect ? 1 Thess 1:4

4 Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.

So the saving of Jesus people from their sins, and consequently from the wrath of God, is fulfilled with saving, delivering these chosen Gentiles from their sins, and the ensuing wrath to come !

Why are you questioning it ? 1 Tim 2:4 is about Gods elect, thats the only people God wills to be saved.

Therefore He regenerates them He comes to save, according to the Promise. The Promise again is that He shall save His People from their sins Matt 1:21

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Now part of His Saving Work as Saviour is the washing of regeneration Titus 3:5-6

5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

These are His People. Titus 2:14

14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Notice they are a peculiar people which means:

  1. that which is one's own, belonging to one's possessions
    1. a people selected by God from the other nations for his own possession

So regenerating them is a must in fulfilling the promise that He shall save His People from their sins !

1 Tim 2:4 and Matt 1:21 are the same people, the elect
First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men,
— 1 Timothy 2:1

who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
— 1 Timothy 2:4

Are you of the understanding we are only to pray for the elect? Or you think "all men" in v.1 refers to someone else than "all men" in v.4 ?
