I have no problem with that, what I do have a problem with is when people take it steps further and see more "feminine" men as lesser men cause that's when, in my opinion, you're offending women.

it is an adult male who likes the kids cartoon "My Little Pony, Friendship is Magic"
(though there is probably a good bit of overlap in those two groups? just a guess on my part)
the point on this thread is, you often hear from our "enlightened" cultural figures or feminists or whoever that men should be
less confrontation, less aggressive, less ego driven, focus more on cooperation instead of viewing everyone as a rival, not so hung up on gender norms
stuff like that
then we had a segment of the population that started to like this show
I never really watched it, but a lot of guys in their 20's said that it was just a nice show to watch when you wanted to relax
the characters had their own personality, the art and story lines were well done, it was actually funny
just a neat show to watch and chill out to
this show focuses on cooperation and friendship and forgiveness
all stuff that guys are told they should focus more on
and if a guy watches it, he is not following traditional gender stereotypes (which we are told are a bad thing)
and if you admit to being a fan of this show, you are assumed to be a pervert, a pedophile, a freak, or a looser of some kind
these claims often come from the same feminists who claim they want men less focused on gender stereotypes and more open to cooperation?

As far as women go, I don't think there has ever been the same type of pressure. So we are able to give them more leeway on how to act. Many men find masculine type women to be hot, but many women find feminine men to be a total turn off. You can't really blame your biology, but to blame it on a patriarchy is a little disingenuous.

Feminists are more headed in Europe? I've read many of them want to pass laws that would make it hate speech to criticize feminism. Unfortunately for them, it would be tougher for them to do it here. Might just be hysteria, never looked into the issue too deeply.

UK is minamerica for me, that aside america sucks when it comes to freedom of speech, you take pride in the fact that you are a free country, however you fail to deliver the expected results. Talking about laws, the divorce laws in america and UK are crazy and definitely not gender equal. I'm sorry for attacking your country, but it really bugs me that people consider america an open country when that is no longer the truth.

It's important to understand why there is a need of feminism in a fairly gender equal society. A feminist should empower itself, if they complain too much they are some whiny teenagers, period(literally and fictionally).
