The United Kingdom is on high alert in the wake of the May 22 terrorist attack in Manchester shick killed 22 people. Religious leaders have condemned the attack, and stories of heroism-both large and small-are beginning to emerge: The homeless guys who picked out the nails from the girls' faces, the local residents who opened their doors to stranded teenagers, and the queues that formed at blood banks. These are the images, said Prime Minister Theresa May, "that embody the spirit of Manchester and the spirit of Britain."

We are so used to westerners reacting to appalling violence with stoic patience and outbursts of love that we take it for granted.

The sad thing is, we wouldn't be so used to this if there weren't so many acts of appalling violence.

If the same thing had happened in Israel, the group that have now been arrested as accomplices would have been found face down in an alley with 22 bullets in each of their bodies from a Mossad 22 calibre Buretta. One bullet for each innocent person killed. They did that to the Black September terrorists who killed 11 Israeli athletes at Munich.

I think the public is becoming numb to Islamic terror attacks because they happen so frequently. It seems like there's another attack about every two weeks. Some people seem to have something like Stockholm syndrome. The typical response is people bury their head in the sand and vow to do nothing more while they call others "Islamophobic" for wanting to actually do something to stop the attacks.
