I'm not sure how relevant this is, but I do recall an incident in my recent past that I found very curious. Our division at work was doing a "get to know people" segment during the division meeting. You were supposed to submit three sentences - two true and one a lie. People had to guess who the sentences referred to, and which one was a lie. My 3 were:
1) Has a degree in history (note that my job is engineering)
2) Once set an engine in a test cell on fire
3) Is a Yankees fan
People remembered me talking a lot at lunch about history and baseball, so they guessed it was me, and so picked #2 as the lie. They all agreed it made sense because #2 seemed the most outrageous.
Well, truth is, #3 is the lie. I'm a KC Royals fan and I despise the Yankees. I thought it very interesting how they processed their "knowledge" of me and how they decided which was the lie.
