Or, when you get even older, and you understand that plenty of hard working people don't get paid for their hard work, and that your own success is largely derivative of advanced opportunity (doesn't mean you didn't work hard, but hard work alone isn't the path to wealth. The old adage "it's not what you know, but who you know" is very true), you'll understand that conservatism isn't a reasonable ideaology.

The problem in your reasoning, Minichervi, is that most (certainly not all) of the extremely wealthy (which does not include you nor i, though we are both among the privileged) "earn" their money on the backs of the poor.
