  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Nope, because of the three counties that are underreported, only one is leaning Romney, and has the lowest population. Miami-Dade and St. Lucie represent larger populations and are overwhelmingly favoring Obama. St. Lucie is currently the lowest, and is leaning towards Obama. Romney took a sudden jump because most of Santa Rosa reported in one fell swoop, but since the majority of counties with lower reporting rates lean Obama, Obama has an edge.

Both Osceola and Orange county are north of the I-4 corridor...

I'm at anywhere between 87k & 96k (depending on how my company does for the year)

By the time I pay federal, state, local, residence, and work-city taxes, I lose around 40%.

I lose about 17k-20k from federal alone.

That's great - i'm in your tax bracket. And vehemently oppose Romney - which puts me somewhat de facto in the Obama camp (although i didn't vote for Obama).

What does "Internet rich guy" mean?

I understand where you're coming from...I used to be liberal when I was your age too. When you're not actually on the paying end of the socialist plan, it doesn't sound as bad. As soon as you start getting the bill for it, it changes your tune pretty quick.

On this matter, I like the Thomas Sowell quote

I have never understood why it is "greed" to want to keep the money you have earned but not greed to want to take somebody else's money

I also like the quote "If you're not liberal at 20, you have no heart...If you're not conservative by 40, you have no brain"
Now it's 'internet old guy'? You've got six years on me, if your age is accurate. You're not Socrates, and your life experience is likely a great deal narrower than you would like to think.

Although if you'd like to discuss your maturity and worldly wisdom as it pertains to the belief that your home is going to be forcibly populated with homeless people, I'd be happy to have that conversion :)

So is it safe to assume that you don't mind that the federal government takes $20k from you and invests it in things like bailing out unions and purchasing toxic assets?

If Obama has his way? It'll be by paying 45% instead of the 40%

I just can't pay the proposed increase for my private health care and will have to cancel it and go on the government dole if Obama wins.... which is bad enough... except I won't get care, as Mr Obama has already told people like me to go home and prepare to die... take the little blue pill instead of the one to help me. :( Elderly and disabled...according to him, people like me have nothing to contribute to society and need to allow those (18-40) have the necessary things for productive living...

Yes, and a lot happens in those 6 years. (as with your 20's as a whole)

If it were an age difference of 69-63, you'd have a point.

Apparently you left your joke detection off...

Great news on the local front!!! Todd "Legitimate Rape" Akin just conceded the Senate race to Claire McCaskill. He's losing 51-42%. His ignorant and offensive comments have cost the Repubs a Senate seat they should have won easily. Even more remarkable considering that Romney is winning big in the Presidential vote (no surprise there.)

When will right wingers get the message? Voters may not like abortion, but they don't want it criminalized.
