  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

westcott and hort has the comma (before). And that is the basis for most translations in use today so unless you are going to make your own translation I think your stuck with Hort.
Westcott and Hort wrote the Gospel of Luke? I've never heard that theory before. OK, go ahead and present your case.

Here is my expert witness that says the original manuscripts didn't have any commas:
"The original Greek and Hebrew did not have punctuation as is found in English"
New American Standard Bible (NASB) - Version Information - BibleGateway.com

So unless you are going to dig up your own manuscripts and write little commas in, I think your stuck with manuscripts without commas.

wait a minute, I thought you DIDN'T adhere to JW grammar? Now you do?
There isn't a "JW grammar" there are only greek manuscripts, and they don't have commas, until somebody put them in.

Just because Bob is usually wrong, it doesn't mean that he is automatically wrong.

If you prove the original manuscript had a comma before today then you make your case. If you can't, then you don't have a case.

The experts agree that the original manuscripts did not have any commas, because commas were not used then.

It doesn't need commas. "Today with me" makes it clear what is meant. That is why there is not a single genuinely Christian group that agrees with your distorted translation.

the two main manuscript families have grammar codes

westcott and hort has the comma (before).

and textus receptus.

but lutheranmafia is right, you don't need the grammar in that verse.

Jesus was going to be dead for 3 1/2 days in fact there is no punctuation at all in the early Manuscripts.

A person is not born into the Kingdom of God until after the resurrection even the thief was aware of that.

Luk 23:42 And he said: Jesus, remember me when thou comest in thy kingdom.

Mr 8:31 And he began to teach them, that many to suffer to see the Son of man, and to be disapproved of the High Priest and of the elders, and learned in the Mosaic law, and to be brutalized, and after three days to be resurrected.

Mr 9:9 They understood from the mountain, and he enjoined them that they should relate to no one what they saw, except when the Son of man should be resurrected out of the dead.

Joh 3:12If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you heavenly things?

13And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, eventhe Son of man which is in heaven.

Act 2:34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

why do all the verses you quote have commas in them then?

It would make you a bible believing christian.
The wages of sin is death, not eternal torment in hell.

Mormans believe in hell, what does it make you if you believe the same?
quack quack.

Hitler believed in hell, what does it make you if you believe the same?
quack quack

The spanish inquisition believed in hell, what does it make you if you believe the same?
quack quack

The terrorists who flew the planes on 9-11-01 believed in hell, what does it make you if you believe the same?

We use commas in english, they didn't use commas in koine greek, OK?

TEXTUS RECEPTUS 1881 original greek manuscript
has greek grammar in it.

so your wrong they did use grammar, there are lots of grammar codes in modern manuscripts. Yes somewhere along the line they added them in there, but they added verses numbers too, and that hasn't stopped you.

Yes, I posted it before.

Here it is again:

If you don't read my posts, you will not receive the information that is in my posts.

But. once again, I don't care if you don't believe me. The FACT is that there are no commas in the original manuscripts. You can deny this all you want. I don't care. Westcott and Hort Manuscript are NOT the original mnanuscripts.

How about this. If you really believe there are commas in the early manuscripts, show me one with commas in it.

surely you can reference some site, or authority that agrees with you? Or are you the only one in the world to believe this exaggeration.
You don't have to be like this. Aren't you ashamed?
