[ ressOTE=mmksparbud;64802182]I've asked a lot of people what day of the week is Sunday,----I've lost track of how many would say--it's the 7th!---The 1st time I heard it busted out laughinh, I,m better at controlling myself now. I just ask, what day of the week was Christ raised--the first--Sunday. Then they would get this confused look on their face. Sooooo---you go to church on Sunday because it's the 7th day of the week, then what is the first day of the week?--they answer--"Monday!"--Really?--"Yah, Monday starts the week, EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT!"--Really? Then why do all the calenders start with Sunday as the first day of the week?---UHHH--I explain that the work week starts on a Mon. but not the actual week--"Oh, yah--that's right. Sunday is the 1st day of the week, when Christ was raised from the dead--I guess that's why we go to church on Sunday--to comemorate His resurrection."--OK--but where in the bible does it say that Sunday would now be the day of worship?---"I don't know, must be in there somewhere or we wouldn't be doing it!"---What day did God designate?--"The 7th, of course"--
It became pretty obvious, that most people never really even think about it--they do what is convenient, not what God said to do. From here on out, they then go to their minister, priest, whatever to get the "truth" and they come back with the usual stuff. And after several more discussions, the readily accept that Saturday is the 7th day asnd that's what God wants--but it's just plain not convenient and not what everybody is doing, so they will continue to do what everybody else is doing--it doesn't really matter anyway--everyday is His---blah, blah, blah--bottom line is CONVINIENCE. Then, of course, they get into, we're not under the law--and so then we discuss that, bring in the whole book of Hebrews, and explain about the law in light of the book of Hebrews and what the diciples were saying when they said "not under the law"--I've had people, many of them, actually see the whole thing, they truly understand, I've known of priests and ministers who finally say they see it---but they are not going to change, it's way too much a disruption of their lives, their jobs, their families--some ministers have said they would loose their congregations if they did this--it's way too much too handle and then they come up with the clincher--God understands why I can't change and He'll forgive me, and off they go. I used to get very discouraged, until a couple times I had some people who many years later finally decided to keep God's special rest day and say that it bothered them for years after they knew the truth but couldn't get the courage to turn their lives upside down until they couldn't run from it anymore.
So I realize we are just asked to sow the seeds--God will take care of the rest. God is patient--so I just pray they don't die without acknowledging the light they were shown.
Hang in there![/QUOTE]
if you notice the prophecy in Daniel speaks of the beast changing God's law and times, times with an "S". there is a massive distortion of truth when it comes to God's timelines. the timing of his birth December 25th, the timing of his second coming, the timing of his death and resurrection, the seventh day Sabbath are just a few of the times that were changed. Jesus didn't die on Friday and resurrect Sunday morning. That was all a distortion of truth to help support and promote Sunday worship. Go here to find the truth about this.
