Trump ally Michael Whatley and daughter-in-law Lara Trump take over at RNC

I would wander what kind of political savvy she brings to the table and what would be the motivation to choose someone so unqualified.

And then I noticed the last name and I have a feeling this isn't really a "merit hire".

Remember how America should strive to be a meritocracy cause AA is bad? And Hunter Biden is somehow benefiting from nepotism.

Is this a bothersome, wiley, cunning, or predictably Trump move for the RNC? Does it strengthen the party?

In the mob, family aren’t hired for their qualifications, they are hired for their silence when the feds start sniffing around.

The purge didn't take long....

Days after allies took over the Republican National Committee, Donald J. Trump’s advisers are imposing mass layoffs on the party, with more than 60 officials, including senior staff members, laid off or asked to resign and then reapply for their jobs, according to two people familiar with the matter.

The swift changes amount to a gutting of the party apparatus eight months before the November election, with one person familiar with the operations estimating that the R.N.C. had only about 200 people on payroll at the end of February, and about 120 at its headquarters near Capitol Hill. The heads of the communications, data and political departments were among those let go.

I believe that the prophet Lindsey Graham called it correctly back in 2016.

Trump's RNC officially kills the GOP's mail-in voter effort, opts for lawfare instead

hahahahahahahah.... hoooboy... GOP better hope for good weather in November.

In a victory for the extremist wing of the Republican Party, it looks like Donald Trump’s hand-picked leadership team at the Republican National Committee has officially scrapped the GOP’s plan to encourage early voting this election cycle. Instead, the party is taking steps to prioritize legal challenges to voting systems ahead of November.

Former RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel was a staunch supporter of the "Bank Your Vote" program, which may be one of the many reasons she was ousted.

Those are your two first mentioned bars for qualifications?

Does it help or hinder that they are relayed to Trump?

Either way, what do they being to thr table? Just that new blood (is it new? Her last name is trump. That's old blood) and young age.?

Some people cannot recover until they hit rock bottom. The republican party was seemingly ashambles before Donald Trump usurped control. This may force them to rebuild from the ground up once people understand maga is not sustainable as a government for the United States of America. Maga is fine for rallies to blow off steam but the movement is not effective for quality leadership. I can't imagine this Trump takeover of the RNC will accomplish anything good for down ballot republicans other than Donald Trump.

This Trump fiasco illustrates why it is imperative to stand up to a bully. Republicans should have held Don in check long ago by presenting a united front of resistance to his inappropriate behavior. Instead of rewarding said behavior by continuing to complicity endorse this guy. Mr Trump has shown voters that their elected officials are not up to the task of governing though. If only those voters could see that, and vote accordingly, America might not still be immersed in all the emotional entanglement of the Don and his hoax. It's just a fantasy. It's not the real thing.

Why the RNC’s latest 'B-level or worse' hire is 'good news for Democrats': analysis

On Thursday, March 14, Lara Trump — the Republican National Committee's new co-chair and Donald Trump's daughter-in-law — announced that the RNC was hiring MAGA Republican Scott Presler to lead its voter turnout efforts.

Presler, a far-right conspiracy theorist known for promoting █████ posts on social media, has aggressively promotedDonald Trump's false claim that the 2020 election was stolen from him. And Presler has praised the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol Building as the "largest civil rights protest in American history."

"Presler being given a high-profile position in the RNC would be the latest sign that Turning Point USA and its affiliates are in total control of the Trump-branded Republican Party," Jones writes. "And while that may serve each of them quite well personally, evidence suggests it's bound to hurt the GOP's electoral chances come November."

New RNC lawyer Christina Bobb is an 'unguided missile' who specializes in 'evidence-free suits': expert

The Post notes that Bobb, during her tenure as an OAN anchor, was front and center in terms of promoting bogus election claims.

"Bobb worked in front of the camera and behind the scenes to undermine Biden’s win in 2020," writes the Post. "In Arizona, she helped Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani arrange a meeting that aired false assertions of mass election fraud and later promoted a review of 1.1 million ballots in the state’s most populous county that election experts widely discredited as unreliable."

Bobb was also named as a defendant in a lawsuit brought by Dominion Voting Systems, the voting machine company that was the target of multiple bogus conspiracy theories that were in part concocted by a Minnesota-based "cactus artist" who claims that she can speak with the wind.

Was the 2020 election stolen? Job interviews at RNC take an unusual turn.

Prospective hires say agreeing with Trump’s false election claim appears to be a new litmus test for being hired by the party

In recent days, Trump advisers have quizzed multiple employees who had worked in key 2024 states about their views on the last presidential election, according to people who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe private interviews and discussions. The interviews have been conducted mostly virtually, as the prospective future employees are based in key swing states.

“Candidates who worked on the front line in battleground states or are currently in states where fraud allegations have been prevalent were asked about their work experience,” RNC and Trump spokeswoman Danielle Alvarez said in a statement Tuesday. “We want experienced staff with meaningful views on how elections are won and lost and real experience-based opinions about what happens in the trenches.”

RNC staffers were told en masse in early March that they were being let go but could reapply for jobs, and the application process has included an interview with the Trump advisers. The Trump advisers this week are vetting both former employees and some laid-off employees — whose last day is Friday — to decide how many can either return or stay with the RNC.

Instead of having employees based in Washington, Trump advisers have told prospective employees that many will be expected to move to Palm Beach, Fla., to be near Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club, hollowing out the RNC headquarters.

Perhaps it's time to split the party into the Magadonians and the GOP (not looking so grand these days).

Remember the bogus Walk Away campaign? Seems to be affecting the party that tried to sell the meme.

The thing is that one party rule is not viable for a Democracy. The Democrats need a strong opposition party, preferably several with itself broken into smaller pieces.
