As I said I don't feel insulted, as I'm not a scientist. But I love to see people pile on making fun of others. So needless to say I DOUBLY love it when Christians do it!

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So don't you think they "earn" their money?
If you say they do not then I will equally claim YOU don't deserve your pay. It's as simple as that. WHATEVER aspersion you wish to cast at "scientists" applies equally to you. They are people doing a job. A job that YOU benefit from every single day. And, hint, most of them don't make as much money as the folks who count the money in whatever organization they are in.
So whatever negative thing you think about scientists as a whole, I think about you (short of the whole satan thing which is just bizarre).

No problem. (AV appears to think they are doing Satan's work, so I'm uncertain how much "fun" he's having with it...but it certainly is silly.)

Actually I know what you think of scientists since I can read! You seem to think that they are a "gift from God" yet you treat them as if they are foils for an unending stream of dislike. You hold them accountable for Thalidomide, Challenger disaster, etc.
I am fascinated because you heap almost nothing but scorn on them and then you cover it over with a heaping helping of pablum about them being "gifts from God".
I hope you don't treat ALL of God's gifts that way! (I would think God would get tired of it).

Actually it DOES matter because it helps establish a pattern. And the pattern I see is AV heaping scorn on science and scientists followed by his mealy-mouthed half-apology by either saying the scientists are too stupid to know they are doing the work of Satan or that they are God's Gift.
And, of course, whenever science says something that AV disagrees with then "science can take a hike".
I am glad he has so many more posts! (And the counting posts are always nice).
