Analyze the layout of the Old Testament books.

The Old Testament consists of 39 books.

The first 17 are books of history ... the next 5 are books of poetry ... the last 17 are books of prophecy.

The 17 books of history are further divided into 5 & 12.

The five books of [pre-Canaan] Moses, followed by 12 [post-Canaan] books.

Likewise, the 17 books of prophecy can be subdivided into 5 & 12.

Five books of the four major prophets, followed 12 books of minor prophets.

These can be further subdivided, but I'll stop there.

It's fascinating!
