It describes this man as a person who "knows God". Romney is a Mormon, Mormonism is contrary to God's teachings. If Romney is the only candidate from Michigan, and if this prophecy stated that this man from Michigan would be the NEXT President, the prophecy therefore is false. Unless, ofcourse, some candidate picks a VP who is not on the radar at the moment.
Who did you quote? I would like to read that whole post

Nevermind, I found it. I agree with you there about Romney but when I was watching a PTL TBN show this Kim Clement said that the next president was not going to be a conventional christian entering the office but that God would soon fill him with His Holy Spirit soon afterward.

In 1992 Clement also "prophesied" Clinton would get saved 1/2 way through his term.
As far as I know it didn't happen.

And what makes you think that you would know? For all I know Mr. Clinton is saved.

Several "prophecies" of KCs did not happen.
One involved a mutual friend of ours, who died of a brain tumor 3 years ago.
He said the war on terror would be a swift one.
Another is Bin Ladens capture by easter a few years ago.
He also "prophesied" Sadaam would be captured in Oct. He was captured but not until Dec.
Either there are conspiracies concerning these or KC was just plain wrong.
Am I for stoning the man? Absolutely not!!
God does not lie. If God truly says something it will happen. Take whatever KC says with a grain of salt.
If KC is wrong he wasn't speaking for God.
The Church likes to exault people.
God would rather we be humble.

well, look at Jonah...when he finally did prophesy what God was laying on his heart it didn't come to pass because the people repented. Yes later the city was destroyed but that was another prophecy and another time. So repentance can and does cause God to relent and have a change of heart. Was Jonah a false prophet because his words did not come to pass??
They said that about Isaiah in his day too...his prophecies didn't come to pass in their life time or the life time of those after them...it was for 400 years later and then Daniel and John the beloved saw far into the future of events that haven't happened yet either...like the Book of Revelations.
So did they get stone? ah NO!

Is that supposed to be a prophecy or a sermon?

Interesting he should used Elijah as an example, "It will not rain unless I say so."

How many 'prophets' in recent memory have been bold enough to take such a risk?
Kim prophesied in the year 2006 there would NOT be any hurricanes hit America in 2006. Well we had a few that threatened but none hit America that year.

You will find that when prophecies are 100% accurate all the time; that people have a tendency to "idolize" those prophesying.
The office of a prophet is one of the 5 fold ministry gifts given for edification, exhortation, and guidance for the other 5 fold ministry offices. WE are spirit beings having a human experience and being in a human experience we can only prophecy to the limits of our undestanding, interpreting and within the boundaries of the measure of faith we have.
Therefore, IMHO one will be hard pressed to find any who are 100% accurate all the time...until the time the two witnesses appear in the tribulation period.

So I wouldn't be trashing anyone or ragging on them for not being "perfect" until I'm perfect myself.

At least poor Benny gets a break...since this is a Kim CLement thread.

there's a simple way of knowing.

Ask the Lord.

Why ask people? You'll get every different kind of answer according to their spiritual walk. God knows the heart of man and if He's speaking through this man in the office of Prophet, then you should go to the SOURCE...not dig this up between people to discuss his accuracy or not.

Notice that Kim Clement has an affliction ...

He has a nervious tick, implying that he is tuned into the Spirit world.

It is a sign that someone doesn't like him ... I suspect the devil.
The one thing I can't stand while listening to him is the way he starts and stops sentences. He starts sentences and often never finishes them because in the middle of it he gets another or better thought and then starts with the new thought. He is a very interesting guy to listen to but because of this, it's often hard to follow along with what he's saying. He's always going off into tangents...

If he was wrong so many times, he therefore is not a prophet. I cannot believe in a prophet who was ever so wrong, or who has long pretty hair and has a website titled "The sound of Kim Clement"!
waiting for the perfect prophet who is a 100 percent right? I hate to tell that prophet does not exsist because none of us are perfect. Kim has a better track record than most on his prophecies. And if long hair is an obstacle for you...IMO....that is very shallow as God does not look at the hair...He looks at the heart. PS he is also a praise leader...thus the name "sounds of Kim Clement"
