So what is the Church suppose to do about these "prophets" who are accurate maybe 60 to 70 % of the time.
I am not suggesting we stone them but if what they "prophecy" doesn't come to pass then it wasn't from God.

well, look at Jonah...when he finally did prophesy what God was laying on his heart it didn't come to pass because the people repented. Yes later the city was destroyed but that was another prophecy and another time. So repentance can and does cause God to relent and have a change of heart. Was Jonah a false prophet because his words did not come to pass??

Jonah's words did come to pass when the generation that repented was gone and the next took up the old way.

My point is that was a word for that generation and God relented. God had a change of heart. So did that make Jonah a false prophet to his generation???

In scripture God says if the people repent he would not bring the destruction he said he would. I don't remember where it is right now but this is an exception.

That is my entire point there are exceptions. God can relent from bringing a prophecy to pass. Or we can get in the flesh and completely miss a prophecy. In the old testament they would have stoned one for missing a prophecy. Fortunately we live under grace now and not the law. I do believe there are prophets today and yes they do miss it sometimes. Because they are flesh and blood just like we are. Should we not forgive them when they miss it and leave the judging to God??

I am a firm believer in two or three witnesses.
I have had individuals give me words that never came to pass.
I also didn't seek a confirmation for them. If God said it he will confirm it.

I totally agree. God does confirm His words. But just because one prophesies doesn't mean they are a prophet. Joel says that even the young will prophesy. You asked what we should do about the prophets who only hit 60 or 70 percent of the time. I believe we forgive them.

As for Kim Clement I believe he is a prophet and he is probably one of those 60 or 70 percent right. And the words he does hit speak powerful witnesses to God and His gifts.

We don't hold the answers to everything. Why are some healed and some are not? Why do some prophecies come to pass and others don't. I do know we need to be flexible and pliable in the hands of God. For we are clay in the potter's hand. And whether it be kim clement, some other prophet ,or person we need to exercise the gift of forgiveness more than we do.
