The group stopped for the night. Five guards were told to keep watch. Dr. Grant was one, a tough kid named John, and his brother Quincy. Two other guy's were also assigned night duty. Kathy couldn't sleep. But not many people did. Kathy was scared. Dead scared. Somehow, she managed to drift off into a dreamless, but deep sleep.
Dr. Grant looked around camp, and gasped. A few Raptors had made their way into camp! Dr. Grant looked in front of him, and saw more shadows moving in. They were surrounded again! Dr. Grant took one more good look around. He counted three in the camp. Oh no, Kathy wake up! Allen thought looking at Kathy, who was indeed, asleep.
Kathy opened her eyes slowly. Her vision was slightly blurry. It looked is if something was in front of her face. She rubbed her eyes, and looked again and gasped. There, right in front of her was a Velocoraptor. Kathy was paralyzed with fear. It moved in closer, and slowly inched it's way closer to her. Kathy tried to move, but couldn't. Cover your face Kathy! C'mon cover your face! No, reach for your pistol! Where's your pistol! Fine, cover your face! No, you need the pistol! Kathy looked next to her, and realized her pistols where next to her bag. Where was her bag....? Kathy spotted the bag, next to her dad on the other side of camp.
Nice move Kathy! Real nice move! The Raptor didn't seem to notice her fear. It sniffed her hair, and backed up a little. Then, the twinkle in it's eyes said, Time for a snack. Kathy was just able to cover her face, before the Raptor attacked.
Dr. Grant stared in horror as the Raptor lunged. Kathy had covered her hands, and had currled into a ball, trying to protect herslef. Just as Allen was about to run and help her, Raptors attacked from his side. He shot any Raptor he could see clearly. They had planned this attack. And well. Dr. Grant tried to get a shot at the Raptor who was attacking Kathy, but there were too many.
Kathy had to protect her head and her neck. She tried. She was able to cover her neck and head well for a while, but soon the Raptor would throw her around a bit, and she would uncoil out of her safety ball. Kathy looked around through her arms, for anything that could be used for a weapon. Nothing. This Raptor is playing with me! I should be dead by now. He could easily rip both my arms off, and he hasn't. The Raptor started to get a little more agressive. Kathy felt blood dripping down her arms, legs and back. Her scratched stung, but she was willing to go through them, she just didn't want to die. "Oh dear God, please don't let me die! Not this way!" She whispered.
