Yes, I'm sure some people had the integrity not to vote for someone convicted of 34 felonies.
You thinking this showcases the actual motivation behind the bogus cases against Trump.

It was an effort to lose him votes - not serve justice - and the "sentencing" today proves it further.

They just want to be able to legally call him names.

Not entirely true. The underlying crimes to make the misdemeanors felonies were not specifically defined. The jurors did not even have to be unanimous on this point. This is how they were manipulated. The jurors were given instructions that will in the end be one basis for appeal. I am not blaming jurors the problem is with a corrupt, biased judge.
The judge was not corrupt or bias. That is sour grapes.
One can read the jury instructions here, and there is a link in it to the full complete instructions:

Here is some of it:

• They must not make a decision based on biases or stereotypes;
• They must set aside personal differences;...
• They can’t hold it against Trump for not testifying;
• The “people must prove beyond a reasonable doubt every element of the crime.” He reminds the jury it must not rest its verdict on speculation;...
• They cannot convict Trump on Michael Cohen’s testimony alone because he’s an accomplice, but they can use his evidence if corroborated with other evidence;
• The jury must be unanimous if they find Trump guilty on each count – on whether he committed the crime personally, acted in concert with others or both;
The instructions were very fair.

Does it excite you you declare that? He will be vindicated on appeal! Will you accept that verdict if it happens?
I am stating facts that some want to deny.

It is questionable if it will be reversed. Until then, he is a convicted felon.

I refer you to the previous answers by myself and others. You could also find the wikipedia article on this case. I'm not here to repeat stuff for people who don't listen (or read).
Yet I pointed out how the Wikipedia article you quoted from does not claim that the investigation started in Spring of 2021.

The "sentencing" today proves that it was all political theatre. They just want to be able to legally call him names.

The instructions made no sense and it will be turned on appeal.

It's not quite that simple. Vox, which is no ally to Trump, published an article entitled "Was Trump Wrongly Convicted?" In that article, they stated this:

The criticisms of Bragg’s case are worth taking seriously. And reasonable people can believe that Thursday’s verdict was wrong.
You can believe what you want but the fact is that this trial was legitimate. It followed NY Law. I don't know if the NY Supreme Court has had an appeal pertaining to the COVID-19 Extensions but that doesn't take away from this being legitimate. It would overturn the decision but Trump would still have been found guilty by a NY Court of Law.

When I heard the sentence, a hymn went through my mind:
"Glory, glory hallelujah! His truth is marching on."

In my heart, this conviction has to count for all the other indictments his $100 million dollar attorneys (who, in all their briefs, postponements, and objections, never mentioned the word "innocence") managed to wiggle out of.

Thanks to the courage of New York State and Justice Merchan, Americans can say "No one is above the law."

I am proud that Amy Coney Barrett (who seems always to be guided by her conscience rather than politics) and John Roberts allowed the State of New York to administer justice in this case. I am surprised and disappointed that four justices failed to agree.

I listened to Trump's statement, and am saddened that after so many years of claiming victimization there are some who still believe it.

God bless my home state.

Not my authority but that of many legal minds more knowledgeable than either you or I.

But that point is mitigated by the opinion of the Supreme Court, who chose not to honor Pres. Trump's appeal but instead allow the judge to pass sentence. You would expect, if the Supreme Court (or any of the other appeals courts it went through to get to the Supreme Court) would have prevented the sentencing if those legal "minds" were correct in their assertion of many other inconsistencies and bases for appeal; if the Supreme Court expected they'd overturn the conviction eventually, they likely would have prevented the sentence from being handed down.

No. In NY they indict people who cook their books.

The instructions made no sense and it will be turned on appeal.
When a verdict is overturned, the appellate court specifies (often excruciating detail) what point(s) of law the trial court got wrong.

What, (bedsides “he got railroaded!”) will be the basis for this reversal?

He crimes were misdemeanors that had statutes of limitations - but were twisted into "felonies" by manipulating a jury with unclear instructions and a vague allusion to some covered up "crime" that never took place.

They were not misdemeanors. Read the trials records and not what some right wing pundits told you

They were misdemeanors - turned into "felonies" by claiming that they were covering up some crime that was not specified.

Oh yeah, YouTube. Lol

A jury returned a verdict finding that Trump had caused the falsification of checks, invoices, and ledgers to conceal the payment of $130,000 to adult film actress Stormy Daniels shortly before the 2016 presidential election, with intent to conceal the violation of campaign finance and tax laws.

The last line spells out the predicate crime, making this a felony.

Yeah, too bad voters picked a convicted felon to represent them. Oh well, hope they continue to get all that they voted for.
He normalizes and validates our crassest instincts. It is ok to be self absorbed. How can we say no to that?
