So was I wrong or not when I said ""

It was you that took exception to my phrase. Now you say it is OK not to pull punches? I'm confused.

.

I think you missed my point. When I was talking about "pulling punches" I was referring to how ardent they were in declaring the Papacy to be the beast and the roman church to be the harlot. I took exception to your statement because you added "hated" to your statement.

The church isn't hated. We don't hate Catholics, and I will continue to correct, and take exception to your statements if you continue to say such things.

Do we really have to resort to semantics? I'm a Lutheran and I don't think the roots of Lutheranism could be described as anything but a movement.

I don't think it's about semantics. I think had our church continued on as it started, we wouldn't be experiencing half of the issues we are experiencing now.

We both agree on this, except for your feeling towards mainstream churches.
True enough

Yes, you are of course right.

The point I tried to make is where are the other prophets God said would come? There is nothing Biblical about one end time prophet sent in the last days, is there?

There were actually two individuals before Sr White. Both of them turned down the opportunity to speak for God, so He went to her. There was an Eskimo man who was used as a prophet for his people. Can't remember his name, but there's a thread on here about him. I never said there wouldn't be others. Not necessarily sure there will be. That's up to God. I get the feeling though that any other prophet would be dealt with the same way Sr White was.

You are correct, the Bible says that in the last days that your sons and daughters will prophesy and your old men would dream dreams, and young men will see visions, right?

This verse precisely identifies the men and woman that was chosen for the work. They are, William Miller (dream of the dirt brush man), William Foie (a young black man), Hazen Foss (another young man in the early 1800's) and Ellen Harmon. We of course know the history and impact that Miller had in starting the ball rolling... of the three young people given the prohetic gift, only Ellen Harmon (White) chose to take up the charge.

These are only the ones that we know about that God tried to inspire for His work and I believe there may be others in our time that He will call as well.

Fair enough.

I would imagine one huge criteria in judging a new prophet's legitimacy would be if he or she totally agreed with Mrs. White.

For the record I never said you hated the RC people, just that the hated Catholics in their hospitals don't provide abortions. (Obviously the hospitals would be owned and run by the RC denomination, or movement, or whatever, not the individual). Honestly, how much love do you have for an organization you call names like harlot and beast?

Mrs. White's teachings are believed by millions of people. How many books has she sold in how many languages? I'm not exactly feeling sorry for her legacy.

I think his point was if you don't believe Ellen was a prophet you won't believe another should they come...

I see what you're saying, but did it stop God in Biblical times?

You obviously know are questions that Mrs. White never addresed that are important to us today. A new prophet could clear things up.

Perhaps but their is no guarantee there will be another prophet so thats why we need to make the most of the one we have, irregardless of the questions we have. I think part of our problemas a society is post modernism... we have been taught ot question and doubt everything, that there are no absolute truths.

Amen to the underlined comment. Post modernism and Humanism and political correctness are being worshipped instead of the True God.

Back to Mrs. White. Personally I can't imagine the SDA church accepting another prophet, but time will tell. It would be fun to see the modern media show someone holding out heavy Bibles for hours and falling into visions without breathing and such in real time!

questioning everything and doubting everything is not a good thing as it might cause some people to never accept Jesus as their Savior... but then on the other hand stands the blind following of rules and regulations, lets take the catholic church for example, people killed other people because the some authorities said so, same goes for nazi germany, I mean the stuff the germans did in WWII is so horrible and when you think HOW MANY germans were involved in it...

Fascinating the amount of misinformation in this post.
The Willamette Valley is in Oregon. It extends south of Oregon to just south of Cottage Grove on Interstate 5.
The Jesuits in the SDA church wrote whole books about Jeanine Sautron, telling lies about what she said, and then refuting their own lies, and then telling us that she was a false prophet because of what they said she said.
You can't ask a bunch of unbelievers why you should be a believer. They can ONLY tell you why they are unbelievers.
In Jesus' day, if you asked the scribes and Pharisees why you should believe in Jesus, they would tell you not to be a fool, don't hear anything Jesus had to say, because, they would say, Jesus is a deceiver.
Is Jeanine Sautron a true prophet? Yes, 2117 pages of Dreams and Visions with no Bible error proves she is a true prophet.

Regarding whether the SDA church will ever be spewed out, why don't you read the Bible? Read Revelation 3 about "Laodicea." It says that because you are lukewarm, I will spew you out. There are NO CONTINGENCY considerations. The Bible says that IT WILL HAPPEN! It is AMAZING to see people who can't open their Bibles and believe what the Bible says!

If you will notice, the 6th church in Revelation 2 and 3 is the Church of Philadelphia. In Jesus' remarks about Philadelphia, he promises to keep Philadelphia through all the plagues coming upon the world in the last days. THINK! The SDA church is called Laodicea. The Philadelphia Church is promised to go through to the end! Laodicea is spewed out! Philadelphia is KEPT! THINK! Who is right? I believe the Bible!

I have never read anything about Jeanine Sautron saying that Jesus is in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. What I read throughout the Bible is that there will be an assembly of God's people in the last days, and that as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be at the coming of the son of man. The ark of Noah was in one place on earth. So shall it be in the last days. The gathering of God's people is in the Willamette Valley of Oregon.

Have you ever read about the 7 last plagues? About the islands and mountains going down? About fire coming up from beneath and coming down from above? These things are REAL, and they are going to happen! What kind of earthquake would make every mountain and every island on earth go down? "He will shake the earth..." I want to be in the "assembly of the saints" in the last days, because where they are, they will be protected. "Saints" are those who "keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus." It is certain that Laodicea, being spewed out because of indifference, is not keeping the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. If they were doing so, they would not be "spewed out." Therefore, I must look somewhere else than Laodicea for those who "keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus." I look to the Church of Philadelphia, the Remnants of Revelation 12:17, who have "the testimony of Jesus," which is the spirit of prophecy, of the Bible, spirit of prophecy of E.G. White, and Dreams and Visions by Jeanine Sautron. They have believed "all that the prophets have spoken".

Hi,

I do believe God can and will send other prophets after EGW to His endtime church. But I have never heard of Jeanine Sautron.

I assume if Jeanine Sautron claims to be a prophet from God, she would not contradict the previous prophet sent from God.

Here EGW testifed on what constitute Babylon.

The wine of Babylon is the exalting of the false and spurious sabbath above the Sabbath which the Lord Jehovah hath blessed and sanctified for the use of man, also [it is] the immortality of the soul
. These kindred heresies, and the rejection of the truth, convert the church into Babylon. Kings, merchants, rulers, and religious teachers are all in corrupt harmony. {2SM 68.2}

"It is our individual duty to walk humbly with God. We are not to seek any strange, new message. We are not to think that the chosen ones of God who are trying to walk in the light compose Babylon. The fallen denominational churches are Babylon. Babylon has been fostering poisonous doctrines, the wine of error. This wine of error is made up of false doctrines, such as the natural immortality of the soul, the eternal torment of the wicked, the denial of the pre-existence of Christ prior to His birth in Bethlehem, and advocating and exalting the first day of the week above God's holy and sanctified day. These and kindred errors are presented to the world by the various churches, and thus the Scriptures are fulfilled that say, 'For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.' It is a wrath which is created by false doctrines, and when kings and presidents drink this wine of the wrath of her fornication, they are stirred with anger against those who will not come into harmony with the false and satanic heresies which exalt the false sabbath, and lead men to trample underfoot God's memorial. {TM 61.3}

It is the false teaching of the spurious sabbath and the immortality of the soul that constitute Babylon. The SDA church has backslid and apostatized. The church structure is infiltrated and corrupted. No question. They are all well documented.

But the SDA church has not officially taught these two fables of the wine of Babylon. EGW wrote that there had never been a message from God to leave the SDA church in her time. I'm persuaded to think there will never be such a message until the church officially teaches those two false doctrines.

Another problem I see is that when new people come into the SDA church, if there is no servant of God remaining who still bear the true light, they will be thrown to the wolves and stand a little chance.

The Philadelphians will go through the Laodiceans to the end, because the Philadelphians will witness to the Laodiceans and made known to them that God has loved the Philadelphians.
