So these guys also believed God's word meant 'truth' .. and anyone who believed in God, also heard that same meaning whenever they spoke(?)
If so, notice the importance of the belief process here. 'Truth' has been assigned by a mind capable of believing. So that says more about the human side of these Thessalonians than about the 'Holy Ghost' (which, AIUI, ain't human .. like its a 'ghost', yes?)
Does God believe things too? (If so, does he test out these beliefs to see if they're real before he 'speaketh' them?)

Why not? Many leaders have done just that. And been successful. Look at Rome. Violent death was fine as long as a person was your enemy. In a world created by mere chance it makes perfect sense. The strongest and meanest rules.
Only in a world with a higher Being to set the rules does survival of the fittest seem wrong.

It's not moral behavior, even if it makes sense to you.
Rules? I thought we were talking about morality. Obeying the arbitrary dictates of an omnipotent being who promises to punish the least infraction with eternal torment is not moral behavior, it is merely expedience.
But never mind that, you seem to be trying to turn this discussion about creationism and evolution into a theism/atheism debate, which is off topic.

I suggest you learn the meanings of words before you start pontificating. My definition is 100% correct.
2 points here:
1. Nobody was talking about right and wrong. The subject being mentioned was sin.
2. Implying that you only do what's right because God tells you to paints you in an extremely poor light. I don't need another being to tell me how to behave. But I'm very glad you believe such a being exists if that's what stops you going round raping and killing.

I'd like to think that Love is the thing that make survival of the fittest seem wrong. It's more universal in its expression, and no need to argue "my god is best".
