If the planet actually is 6,000 years old then there aren't many branches of science that would survive that being proved. Cosmology, physics, biology, chemistry, geology...the list would go on and on.
And great would be its fall.

Matthew 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Computers are vital today in keeping science looking viable.

And what are found in computers? silicon chips.

And where does the silicon come from? the sand.

Science has been building its house upon the sand for decades now; but it's soon to come tumbling down.

And great will be the fall of it.

Tell that to Dr. Danny R Faulkner.

Tell that to Dr. Danny R Faulkner.
I will, if he gets on here and violates my Prime Directive.

1. Bible says x, Science says x = go with x
2. Bible says x, Science says y = go with x
3. Bible says x, Science says ø = go with x
4. Bible says ø, Science says x = go with x
5. Bible says ø, Science says ø = free to speculate on your own

Prime Directive: Under no circumstances whatsoever is the Bible to be contradicted.

Funny where does the Science as Blessing from God fit into all of this.
Since the thread was closed have you gone back to your true colours?

I suppose I can make some stereotype arguments here such as is this because everyone fights like Bruce Lee or Jackie Chan?:)

I'm not going to be nearly as touchy as a
modulator might be about a good spirited bit
of pseudostereo.

The HR lady in the dept was on the
elevator at uni., when a Korean friend
started to get on. "Sorry-ah, you must
take the other elevator ".

"Why?"

"No Koreans allowed this one".

She got on anyway and we were laughing.

Stunned silence from the rest of them.

Ha.

Anyway, no, I'm no chop suey fighter,,
skinny and like just under 5 British
imperial Ft. tall, but, I have a big family.
They take care of gwello for me. :D

That clears things up, I initially found your comments very threatening.

Then let Dr Faulkner tell me that.
It always seems to come back to what someone has told you, eh?
Never: 'Lets follow some consistent, observable method of figuring it out for myself'?
ETA: Do you mistrust your own capabilities so badly?

Try again.
You have used the Bible to show science can be wrong but at the same time state science is a blessing from God.
You can't have it both ways either the Bible or God is the greater authority which overrules the other.

In my experience there is an enormously greater percentage of young guys who do martial arts then you'd find in the US or Australia. I asked a couple of young office guys I worked with if they did any 'Bruce Lee' kinda stuff. They demured. I pushed it a little. C'mon, show me what you got. And they did. And I'm like whoa...what the..? Don't mess with these guys.

I watched one of those last week. I was half an hour in before I realised 'Hey, I'm not meant to take this seriously'. Great fun.

Drawing a long bow is being guilty of exageration. In this case, exagerating a logical sequence to a nonsensical conclusion.

Okay ... that's what I thought after I went back and read what I wrote.

Sorta like an interpretation down the line, so to speak.
