You have never demonstrated any understanding or expertise in science
Non mainstream science is a broad spectrum term ranging from the non application of science/mathematics resulting in conspiracy theories and pseudoscience, to the use of science/mathematics which is not currently supported by experiment and observation such as protoscience and fringe science.
Then listen, Socrates, to a tale which, though strange, is certainly true, having been attested by Solon, who was the wisest of the seven sages.
I agree... Isn't that what "iron sharpening iron" is all about? Praise God.I also don't agree with some of his views. We are not called to "Cookie cut Christianity" with a plastic smile to agree with everyone. We are to follow Christ. Interestingly, this thread has 31,000 views, yet CF calls it a conspiracy.
I must say, the whole topic of FE is one that opens your mind to how much we really don't know for sure. If we totally believe that the bible is the truth... I'd say it is definitely more of a FE book.Rob was a catalyst and a man of God. He's left us a treasure trove of information. His background as one who once aspired to be an astronaut, military experience, technical skill as a movie producer, and insistence on not just believing him but taking the Berean road were key. I did take his advice and searched scriptures myself and concluded that there is heaven above us, a stationary earth, and an underworld below us... that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Here is a video analyzing a photograph taken by Andrew Baillie depicting the Alps as seen from Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) in the north of Wales:Respectfully @Edwin Wright if you have an argument to present, since @prodromoe , myself and most other members have neither the time nor the inclination to view unscientific YouTube videos (also it would clog up our reccommendations), perhaps write it yourself and use screenshots, and cite the video that inspired you.
Because otherwise we could just post responses from various critics of the Flat Earth concept including aviators, astronauts, astronomers, astrophysicists, Christian theologians, and the general public, which I would note we are not doing.
Although I may post a link to Kelsey Hughes’ suggestion to charter a 747 from the airline where he is employed as a pilot, and fly from Buenos Aires to Melbourne, which is a routing that could cause you to fly right over the heart of Antarctica, passing very close to the South Pole.
Here is a video analyzing a photograph taken by Andrew Baillie depicting the Alps as seen from Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) in the north of Wales:
Mount Snowdon (3,560 feet) is the highest peak in Wales and in the British Isles outside the Scottish Highlands. It is 701 miles from Mont Blanc (15,774 feet). Without tropo[spheric] optical refraction, the top of Mont Blanc in the Alps should be 246,829 feet (46.7 miles) below the horizon. Even with maximum (K = 5/4) tropo[spheric] optical refraction, the top of Mont Blanc would be 188,708 (35.7 miles) below the horizon if the earth were a globe (check Calculation of (Alleged) Earth Curvature with Maximum Tropospheric Optical Refraction).
This is a truly amazing photograph. Obviously, the problem with trying to take such photographs is that the weather almost never cooperates. In this case, there would have been a large high pressure system covering most of Europe (perhaps during the peak summer months).
If there was ever a photograph proving the flat earth, this is it.

Well in fairness to science, I don't think you can discern the curvature of the Earth while on Earth with your naked eye. Nor from a plane at 37,000 feet as it apparently isn't high enough to see it. But many other people HAVE gone to the needed height to see it and there have been many thousands of photos taken documenting it. And if it was flat the temptation to release a photo would be overwhelmingly high. We would see lots of them by now if it was true. Yet not a single one has emerged. Curious how consistent the truth is, isn't it? Reliably consistent. Just like God.I'm looking out at the water from the coast of the Gulf Of California as I type this, and the curvature is obvious.
I saw the curvature of the Pacific last year, the Atlantic previously, and I see it from a plane several times a year.
Flat-Earthers have to disbelieve their own eyes.
Well, there are hills, they're not flat.Do you believe the Earth is flat? If so, to what degree do you believe the Earth is flat?
The true debate is not "flat earth"
The true debate is Geocentrism vs Heliocentrism :

There is no such "debate". The Sun is the center of the Solar System and nothing else. The Earth is the center of nothing.
