it may affect our ability to relate to others which limits our ability to show the gospel. Paul tells us "To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some" (1 Cor 9:22) This does not trump our morals (v21) but it tells us to put our negotiable values aside and enter into other peoples lives on their level. if we are unwilling to do this then we risk estranging ourselves to our mission. If indeed it "doesn't matter" then we should be hanging on to these things loosely and drop them when it no longer suits our mission. This may mean adopting flat earth values or dropping them but motivated by our mission. But does it matter if they want to believe the earth is flat? Does this belief affect their day to day life or faith?
