That’s not a constant on the ground because you have different elevation levels that can cause the line of sight to be farther or closer depending on the terrain. There are several variables that will affect line of sight on land. A slight hill in between the two locations can cause a shorter line of sight whereas a slight dip between the two locations can cause a longer line of sight. The elevation that your viewing from isn’t the only elevation factor that must be considered, the elevation your looking at also plays a significant role. You can see mountains much farther than you can see valleys.

When people who are doing flat earth measurements they usually do this over water.

There is a large lake near me (30 miles away) if i was to go and take a photo of the bridge going across the lake. Which is 9 miles from the spillway.

And i take my photo from 3 feet off of the water then according to this calculation of this earth curve calculator the bridge should be hidden 31 ft because of the earths curve

Do you think anyone who's been on a flight into space will ever blow their cover and announce that this world is really flat?

Nobody's been 'to space'. But those who've been to 'the edge of space' either 'see' curvature due to their indoctrination (recall Lennon/ McCartney's Fool on the Hill who sees the sun going down but the eyes in his head see the world spinning round) or the curvature of the windows in the aircraft gives a fisheye effect.

Any who might notice and say 'Gee, it looks flat,' will be instantly shouted down and given 20 mind-bogging technical explanations. Do you want the shame or the false pride. Well, the truth is always shamed in this world. The dogs round up the sheep for the wolves in sheep's clothing.

What about the sun and moon, how high from the surface are they?

We don't really know, but they are 'in' (inside, within?) the firmament, which is as a solid metal mirror and divides the waters above and below.

A few attempts to triangulate have put the sun at about 3-4000 miles up. Common sense should tell us that the moon ain't 250,000 miles away. Then there's the good ol' 93 million miles for the sun. That's a lot of clicks on your meter wheel.

What’s the elevation of the bridge? If your 3 feet above the water I guarantee the bridge is a lot higher than that if this lake is large enough to show the curvature of the earth. A bridge like that should be at least 15 feet above the water.

I asked a question earlier perhaps you missed it. Why is it impossible to make a flat map of the earth that is proportionately scaled?

It's not, they just won't release all the nautical charts and land surveys for us to piece together.

You do know that all of these are done on a planar basis, Captain Cook then delivers all those new charts back to Admiralty, who presumably sends them to the boffins in the basement who go to work wrapping them around a ball.

So every 3D map is a projection, which is just a euphemism for a distortion, a vain attempt to 'ball the square' lol. The Mercator projection is far from accurate, by their own admission. You should know that Mercator means 'merchant', as in 'to make merchandise of you'.

So physician, heal thyself!

And most amusing of all, the earth would be sub-500km radius judging by the severe curvature in that pic. Try this one:

Ah, that's more like it, straightforward. God hates an uneven balance.

I guess it is not (impossible) if one would have the money to pay to have it done.

I am in Mississippi and i never leave here so, as the earth (land ) has changed since God's original single circular earth creation. I do not know how the land masses are arranged now. I know they are broken up now from the single piece of earth God originally created.

Going up 20 to even 30 miles high really how far do you think can be seen. The whole creation could not be seen, i am not sure at that height all of america could be seen, if one was in the center of the country.

Knowing what the shape of the earth is, does not bother me i will know soon enough.

Denigration is defined as unfairly criticizing someone. Flat Earth criticism is deserved.

Certainly, we rejoice when the world scoffs. God's truth is never consonant with the house of sand that is the foolish wisdom of the world.

Here is screen shot of the road/bridge, how high above the water, depends on the lake level.

Here is a photo taken from the spillway with the bridge in the background. The bridge can be seen a little.
But what i want to do, is get there when the lake is calm and there is still light and get 3 ft above the water.

Take a photo and see if the bridge can be seen. According to that earth curve calculator, the bridge should be behind h1 = Target hidden height 31.5566 feet and should not be able to be seen

What I'm wondering is how that works out with high altitude aircraft. If the sun and moon are close, why don't they get bigger when jets get close to them. If the firmament is solid, why hasn't a rocket struck it?

In the new earth The New Jerusalem will be 1500 miles high, so if the current earth is close to the new earth. Then the sun, moon and stars have to be at least higher than 1500 miles, so as to not run into The New Jerusalem.
