Is it time for Donald to bow out? (MOVED)

I think Trump should:

  • Step down from the candidacy

  • Continue to run

  • Not sure at this point

On the other hand, I think that the supporters of Trump are doing exactly what the people of Israel did when they angered the Lord by asking for a king. They want someone who will take charge and butt heads and make it happen their way regardless of political niceties.

Alas, such people are often not nice.
I think for most of us conservatives it's not so much a vote for Donald Trump as it is a vote against Hillary Clinton.

To answer the question in the OP, it's too late for Trump to drop out at this point. If people write in a different candidate's name it would allow Hillary Clinton, the worse candidate, to win which is exactly what Democrats want. But it's possible that Trump could say he's going to stay for the election but with a vow to give it to Pence after the election if the GOP wins. If that were the case, Pence would go from being the vice president to president and then simply select a new vice president.

And all for the false goals of getting abortions restricted, christianity taught in schools, evolution stopped from being part of science, global warming debunked, and isolating the USA.

The US presidency has been a turd pool for quite some time now.
The only difference between John Kennedy and Bill Clinton and Donald Trump when it comes to their sexual ethics is that Donald Trump does not even pretend that he is upstanding in any way.

The usual slam against Republicans caught with their pants down by Democrats has been that while Democratic politicians may be no better, at least they are not hypocrites running on family values issues.

Trump has brought even this to a whole new level of muck. He not only treats such family values with complete disregard, just like many others on the list above, but he brags about it.

The ultimate sarcasm at this point would be to take the line of the Democrats here, who would vote for the Bill Clintons regardless, and say "oh well, at least Donald Trump is not the kind of hypocrite that hides all this kind of behavior under his desk"

Donald Trump has no shame.
But why should anyone care, at this point anyway?

Same old, same old.

I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, I wouldn't want some stupid and disgusting thing I said 11 years ago to come back and bite me in the hind end today. But then again, I'm not running for President, am I? Understanding Melania Trump's point of view, I know anything my husband said or did before we were married is irrelevant now, because he's been a wonderful (not perfect) husband since I've known him. Neither of us has any deep, dark secrets we haven't already told each other about.

But I know that if either one of us was ever as unseemly and disgusting as that, we've learned better since then, and would not make that mistake again. Mr. Trump demonstrates that he still thinks of women as objects that exist for his personal pleasure. The fact that Bill Clinton is just as bad, maybe worse, doesn't excuse it.

I was and remain undecided about whether or not to vote for Mr. Trump, although it's far less likely now. I do know that elephants will sprout wings and fly south for the winter before I'll vote for Mrs. Clinton. I'll probably write in a Republican candidate, possibly Mr. Pence.

The fact that Bill Clinton is just as bad, maybe worse, doesn't excuse it. ..

.
It doesn't excuse it. It contextualizes it.
Trump is a vile and nasty piece of work when it comes to women.

But so has Hillary Clinton been, as she sicks the dogs on all the "bimbos" and trailer trash who have the misfortune of being sexually abused by her husband, and not kept their mouths shut about it.

For decades now, people have railed against any movement that sought to "shove family values" down their throats.

So be it.

The selective disgust that people display in their voting patterns can no longer be regarded as a moral statement. It is a partisan statement, no more no less.

The naivete of this board is astounding. Trump is a godsend at this point in time.
Why anyone would want the typical psychopathic warmongering politician with degrees in political science is astounding. Pence is the same idiot as Caine and Hillary. He simply has a more polished look and a better demeaner than the others. When the entire one party establishment supports proxy wars using moderate terrorists, it means the entire system is rotten. And if American women have a problem with what men say amongst themselves in dangerous times like these, it simply means the feminists have too much clout in American politics putting their own agenda above the danger we face from our own kind in the pentagon.

Now that Trump is being rejected and abandoned by many top Republicans, I wonder if the Republican party leaders pushing Pence on Donald for VP might have been plan B all along. Pence is just as scary for the future of people in America, unless of course, they happen to be extremely wealthy, have no health problems and don't ever have to depend on their earned social security and medicare or any other government program...just let Trump excite the masses, then give him enough rope to hang himself and usher in the new regime and the Paul Ryan budget and let the poor die in the streets...How's that for a conspiracy theory?

Trump may be DIFFERENT, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's BETTER.

He is a trillion times better. People who are career public servants who are experts in political science are conniving by design. A politician makes a career of manipulating. That every career politician both republicuck and demonicrat are upset that Isis and AL Nusra are on the verge of collapse makes them deranged. These are the people you nitwitted voters have been putting into office. The fact that Trump is the ONLY candidate to prefer to work together with what should be our NATURAL ally in Putin and Russia makes him the ONLY man qualified for the job at this point in time. Instead just like every election American feminist women have hijacked it because they act like snowflakes when it suits them.

Have you??? Before the bolshevik revolution the Tzar toured the United States in the late 1800's meeting with American officials. They happily sold Alaska to us, Today we both face a fight with Islamic terrorism, thousands of Russian immigrants are proud to be both Russian and American and don't blow stuff up.
You know who are not our allies? The sewage that comes out of hollywood, the neo-con warmongers who consider themselves the grand champions of democracy starting wars and arming terrorists with our tax dollars. The same warmongers that dominate both the republicucks and demonicrats who think your 18-25 year old American boy will put his car in storage, kiss his girlfriend goodbye and go fight in the Middle East, in Ukraine, or in Asia against China because of some antiquated treaties from 70 years ago. The old timers better wake up before the pitchforks come for them. Trump is the ONLY one that sees the Brinkmanship of the warhawks, not Pence, not Hillary, not the liberal media nor the conservative talk shows of whom both are aligned on going to war with Russia.

Have you forgotten the cold war, the Cuban missile crisis, the sanctions over Ukraine and Crimea, the repetition of yet another stalemate like the one happening over Syria with them right now. . .just to name a few.

So, after the latest revelation is it time for Donald to bow out? Why or why not? Please let's be adults about this; no polemics which is the reason I posted this here instead of News and Curent Events. Just state your reason for or against based on what you feel fairly certain to be true.

I think that through this election God is showing us the absolute futility of trying to run this nation without Him.

Chandra, Have you read my posts? The meddling and regime change by the Americans in the Ukraine and in Syria and now the sabre rattling by the demonic neo-cons is precisely why Trump is the ONLY candidate to vote for in this election. Whether Nuland or Samantha Power or that Isis-loving McCain or that wicked witch of the the west Hillary who created a world War through her idiotic Arab spring, the warmongers need to be put out to dry. Do you know how close we are to a major escalation to preserve this evil neo-con hegemony? You do know the Americans were supposed to be in Syria to defeat the rebels who are terrorists but instead the terrorists are Cia and pentagon funded proxies.
