Are you saved by the Ten Commandments or by Grace? Is it Faith or the keeping of the Ten Commandments that will see you to heaven?
Could you please speak more about the laws that were contrary to us?
The Moral Law will NEVER be abolished as some believe.
Who are these elect?
Absolutely by Grace! But again, grace is NOT a license to sin. Grace and following the Commandments are not mutually exclusive...you and MANY other Christians seem to equate only one or the other.
All those whom God has chosen since before time began, Jew and Gentile, according to the council of His own will, according to His sovereign grace, and not anything special or chosen by the creation. That is, all those who believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, because God has done a work of grace in them.
Romans chapter 8 and 9.
I am discussing the Law of Moses by which no flesh shall be justified before God. Don't put words in my mouth
You must be writing this from a prison cell
Do you believe this then? Are they mutually exclusive, because that is what it seems you are teaching...
Only the moral part of the Law of Moses applies for believers. Not the ceremonial part related to sacrifices and festivals etc
And the 7th day Sabbath?
Were not the 10 part of the Mosaic law?So you are telling everyone that they need not follow the 10?
Were not those that Jesus spoke to in Matthew 5 Jews, who are under the Law?How do you reconcile Matthew 5:18-19 ?
Allow the Holy Spirit to live within me, to change me and form me in God's image. By surrendering to God's Spirit, that Spirit teaches us and guides us to love. If we allow the HS to guide us in love, how can there be any thought of harming another person. So HOW do you say you keep His Command to love one another?
Sure, do you adhere to the Law's dietary commands? So you are saying that His Commandments are DIFFERENT than the Fathers commandments He kept?
I would say that if a person allows God's Holy Spirit to live within them, then the thought of harming another would not exist.Would you say that Jesus' commandments encompass the 10?
Please clarify.
Is it possible or not to keep the 10 commandments?
If it's not possible to keep the commandments, why do Jesus and also Paul say we are to keep the commandments?
John 14:15
"If you love Me, you will keep My commandments."
John 14:21
He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.”
John 15:10
If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
Matthew 5:19
Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 19:17
And He said to him, “Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
1 Corinthians 7:19
Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but what matters is the keeping of the commandments of God.
1 Timothy 6
13 I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who testified the good confession before Pontius Pilate, 14 that you keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
It is not possible to be perfect, which means each of us will do some things wrong, some things sinful. Paul was teaching about the goal we are to pursue, but in another place he says that he himself often falls short of the mark. Which is why repentance is a lifelong process, not a one time event.
Hmm...not sure it would be just or righteous for a just and righteous God to punish us for not being able to do something that was commanded of us, i feel like that alone should answer the question. Why would He give us commands that we are fully incapable of following? Is it possible or not to keep the 10 commandments?
If it's not possible to keep the commandments, why do Jesus and also Paul say we are to keep the commandments?

Jesus said that lustful thoughts were adultery in your mind and that hate was like murder so if you hate and lust then you break new forms of the old commandments but these are new laws, or at least extensions of the old laws. This is what the gospel according to Matthew says:The above cannot be true.. as to the fanciful theology, I mean.
Jesus said if we hate our brother we have already killed him.
So I ask you: What does Do Not Steal mean?
Does it mean only to steal a book from the bookstore?
Or could it mean more since there are other things to steal?
And what is the will of God for His most important creation? All those whom God has chosen since before time began, Jew and Gentile, according to the council of His own will, according to His sovereign grace, and not anything special or chosen by the creation. That is, all those who believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, because God has done a work of grace in them.
Romans chapter 8 and 9.
I do agree with the above.Only the moral part of the Law of Moses applies for believers. Not the ceremonial part related to sacrifices and festivals etc
